Mechanics of Setback.

I'm going to say just about everything that can be said on setback has been addressed here

While there a number of general guidelines that can be followed, setback, as with almost every other binding setting in our highly technical sport, is a highly dependent on numerous variables, including user technique, board construction, environment...

On some boards I center my bindings (therefore using the manufacturer's setback), on others I go forward, on others I go way back.
