Gcarve
I know there wasn't much snow, but other than that, how were the snow surface conditions?
slopestar
It was carve-able but a bit crusty. Freezing temps are all over the place. local mountains are far better than the rock gardens up at Mammoth and June. Never rode J7. Stayed below to preserve my base and edges. www.oldsnowboards.com
Cool! Nice riding, glad to see ANYONE at June right? <object width="853" height="480"><param name="movie" value="//www.youtube-nocookie.com/v/CfDpQJncy1U?hl=en_US&version=3&rel=0"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="//www.youtube-nocookie.com/v/CfDpQJncy1U?hl=en_US&version=3&rel=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="853" height="480" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>

It's not too scary on J7. Sunrise/sunset is actually OK, with some debris here and there. The carnage is not terrible, but also not welcome of course. Matterhorn is a bit hairier, with some embedded harder rocks that could do some real damage if hit at real speed. I'm probably lapping Sunrise/Sunset tomorrow. Mammoth is actually pretty safe over by Main. Just a few deburrable edge scuffs as long as I stayed over by Main and on trail. I don't want to even think about how things are down at Eagle. slopestar
My girlfriend took a spin down Matterhorn and shredded her base. Much more accurate reporting. I tend to generalize. Really need winter to kick in here on the West Coast. farmers almanac says wet... Let's see some low temps and precip!
