So, what do you need to fix in your riding

Every year I get out there and find some things I want to do better or fix in my riding. I know there are some Rock stars on this site that are dialed in from the first turn of the season, Im not one of them and at 50 its seems to be getting a bit harder to get everything sorted out quickly. One of the things I seem to struggle with and noticed a few years ago is not looking far enough into the turn, especially on my heelside. I realized one day when I was not getting it done that I was looking at my board, Not across the hill. That was a few years ago and still I fall back into the habit of not looking deep into the turn. Saturday was a good example, Mike said I need to look farther into the turn and BOOM I was back.

What are some of the things you need to do to correct your style?

get/ride an asym now and again, they really punish you for that mistake.

remember that my whole lower leg, ankles and feet can be the interface to the board, not just the boot cuff.

It's taken me a few days to get my fore/aft balance back. I've been slacking: I need to remember to distribute my weight evenly, and make sure I feel equal pressure on both feet in the arc of the turn, heelside or toeside.

I feel that I need to work on angling my torso on heel side turns. It feels like I'm doing the sit in the toilet maneuver and I'm really afraid to see photographic or video evidence of this. I definitely experienced a more positive feeling arc while turning my head to look through the turns more, instead of down the fall line.
