Je.St
Hey going to be at castle most of the year, wondering if theres any riders around the area that ride alpine boards?
Puddy Tat
Never been to Castle. I personally spend most of the winter up at Sunshine. Most of the carvers in Calgary go to Nakiska, which is phenomenal for carving on, especially mid-week. If you are in town you should definitely come to Naskiska for NES on Jan 10-12. Je.St
Cheers for reply Dave. Pretty much locked down at castle cause of work, but yeah rode nakiska early season last year and totally agree its stellar for riding. As well just checked out the NES thread definitley down to hit it up for couple days as long as I can grab some time off haha. Jeff
surlyguy
Castle is a fantastic place if there is snow. there are a some good runs for carving boards as well. there is an epic steep run down the front that would be fun with good snow. Ran into a french guy there last year on an AM setup.

mbeaudry
I get free lift tickets at Castle so I end up there ~6 days a year. I always seem to end up skiing there though, it's one of my storm chasing destinations. I only have carving boards in my snowboard quiver and I'm always hesitant to subject them to the minefield of rocks often hidden around Castle. I seem to travel with all my equipment these days though so I'll likely end up on my board down there for a day or two this year. I'll let you know! big canuck
Mt Haig has some great runs for alpine riding. Under the chair straight away from the lodge is fun but bring your big boy pants.
