I was considering taking a trip to Big Bear (1 hour from Middletown, NY). Comments on this resort? I like extreme Carving so resorts with steep trails with wide trails preferred. rwbthedc Posted February 17, 2012 Report Share Posted February 17, 2012 Hey it's Ralph. big bear should be called Little bear, it is a small pleasant, family place, similar in size maybe to Mt Peter. I am only familiar because a friend has a house there.fine for the kiddies or learning, but South at MC offers a little more I'd say.camelback is a better option.but skip all that and go to Vermont.
