mc-alex
In shape like pencil ?Black with white logo? Haah, yeah, pencil like. But, I mean this version was black with neon print, the next year FullRace was black with white print. The race was a carbon board.
Tatoos
If you thinking about this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/2009-SG-Snowboard-Race-78-Brand-New-Never-Used-/180789416053?_trksid=p2992.m185&_trkparms=algo%3DSIC.OPJS%26its%3DI%26itu%3DUA%26otn%3D20%26pmod%3D160706152538%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D5536646627076452761 You should buy without much concern!Everyone says that the Sigi`s boards a few years ago are more carefully made.In this December in Italy, my friend gone to pieces in the arc of the new 11-12 FullRaceTitanal. xy9ine
kinda o/t, but curious why they used the long pointy noses on those. seems you'd have to use a board 10cms+ longer than normal to get the same effective edge as a conventional nose - ie, that 178 has a running length comparable to an sl stick. Tatoos
I think it was much harder or stiffer than today's boards.Well, and have a some layers of carbon. For a lighter rider is a rarity.
jburrill
Thanks for the input. So this has layers of carbonfiber? Is it titanal?
BobD
Is this the same board? http://www.ebay.com/itm/2009-SG-Snowboard-SG-Race-78-Alpine-Racing-Carving-Hard-Boot-Snowboard-NEW-/160706152538?pt=Snowboarding&hash=item256ad5485a I'd want to see some new photos before parting with any money I did report to ebay as suspicious. The description is copied, and if it is the board in the photos, it hasn't been sitting in his garage.
Tatoos
You're right BobD-the same board serial number (even the same scene photos).Very suspicious!
nutmeg
Thanks for the input. So this has layers of carbonfiber? Is it titanal? I do not know about carbon, but there was definitely no Titanal in any "regular" Full Race. Only Full Race T(itanal) and Full Race Pro Team are metal boards. Tatoos
,,Titanal® is not titanium and in fact does not contain any titanium. The chemical composition of Titanal® in weight percent breaks down to approximately 88.5% aluminum, 1.7% copper, 2.5% magnesium, 7% zinc, and 0.1% zirconium." Hardbooter.comBlog What I know all the boards ,ProTeam` and ,FullRace` have a layer of such a sheet!
BobD
So did any on here buy this board? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180789416053 I hope I was wrong and it was legit, but I'm curious.
jburrill
I didnt bother. They were the same photos from another sale. Maybe the seller just pasted the same photos. But, I was suspicious too.
