BX board question

ballistic

Recommended Posts

so where do BX boards fit into the spectrum of Race, Freecarve, and All mtn. boards (generally speaking) ?

And what would be a couple of the more popular BX board models be that race teams use?

Im trying to figure out the relationship boardercross has to "alpine boards"

bx are generally wider (most bx racers use softboots), have a rounded tail, and are a bit softer (this depends on the rider's personal taste)

Top brands I've seen lately have been Kessler and Oxess, but SG and others are making great boards as well. And Palmer - but iirc those were made by kessler?

He, he...

If ridden with h/boots, a BX board fits an All-Mountain description.

If ridden with soft boots, it's as close to race/freecarve as the soft boots get.

Hey, thanks, great summer - 2 full months in Europe, will be back to Van in September.

The way it rides, the Kes BX is more of a NSR, something like 10-14, or so. The other wide Kessler "VSR" I had, hooked the end of the turns a lot more.
