DiveBomber
So I had an idea... what if instead of a spring loaded rear lean mechanism, there was a Hydraulically damped system instead?? So it would move forward, but slowly as oppsed to a spring system? and you could have an adjuster to change the speed. You'd have a quicker responce, and could "set" your lean before your turn I dont know, just a thought.
b0ardski
Great add a couple hundred more to my dream set up:rolleyes: I like the dampened flex idea but temperature stable fluid + the engineering required sounds expensive.
Beckmann AG
I like the dampened flex idea but temperature stable fluid + the engineering required sounds expensive. The damper cartridge from the old Amp Research fork might do the trick. At least to test the notion. http://www.bikepro.com/products/amp/fork.html Visible in the left photo. The cartridges were not that expensive back in the day.
Chris Houghton
Maybe Tein or Bilstein could knock out a few coilover samples for us.
kieran
or maybe a gimbal ankle joint in the boot, with internal tensioners?
KingCrimson
My boots have friction dampening. Super high tech stuff, the cuff rubs against the lower part of the shell. That's why BTS doesn't bounce around- its dampened. Adam Casanova uses urethane bushings instead of springs on his BTS.
