bgarfield
I'm gonna say between '88-'90? I knew people that rode with these back when I had my '89 Burton Safari. Brian
b0ardski
I checked these out in a seattle area shop in 89. the UPS boots I bought a year or two later had the same shape lower shell in black with the same color cuff (with different buckle configuration) and the same cuff hinge flex release and cuff/liner profile. Predecessor to the MGX also built by UPS. $110 is pretty steep for 22 yr old boots
bgarfield
So my memory doesn't totally suck. Yep, remember them in black, and I owned the MGX (were those the right letters?) Burton. Sad part is, mine were in perfect shape, I loaned them to someone and when I disappeared from instructing, couldn't remember who I loaned them to! My first hardboots were the Koflach's, which I believe were the ones Damien Sanders wore. You can almost make them out in this '93 shot below... Jack M
Those are Burton's first hardboots, the Megaflex, they debuted in the 89-90 catalog. The very next year they changed to manlier colors, so you know they are 21 years old. I wouldn't pay more than $50.
