John Gilmour
Bought these from Fin last season. I used them for about 30 runs. I think I paid $275. I could not get used to them from my older Head Stratos boots. The Head Stratos had ok flex and quick turn in response - though it stopped dead instead of progressive flex (due to abrupt buckle stacking) and well..frankly heavy...as compared to my older Nordica Tr-9 randonee boots. The Deluxe Track 700 with BTS blue are heavier still (13 lbs with Strolz custom fitted liners) but helped prevent shin bang a lot better than the Head Stratos. Least amount of shin bang- with Burton soft boots...zip nada zilch. Weight 6.5 lbs Selling The Delux Track 700- w/o liners as I replaced the liners with Strolz liners that are custom fitted to my feet only. You can buy Thermoflex liners from Fin to use with them. I'm selling these to try Virus' new UPZ boots... and if those don't work...I might have to hang up my hardboots. Though I might try an ultra light boot as a last resort.. or fly Beckman out to ride with me and cut up a decent ski boot. $200 shells and BDS only. 27.5 mondopoint Also will fit 27.0 modopoint as the shell is the same for both. RyanN
What size are the shells? Might be interested if they're the right size.
John Gilmour
27.5 mondopoint The sooner I sell them the sooner I get to try another pair of hardboots... in the end...I still think Beckman's gonna have to design something new and great for the industry. He who cuts up the most boots and makes great ones..knows what is needed to be done.

Hungry Boarder
What does BDS stand for? You know what it is... Actually he spelled it right in his description. FYI, BDS is stand for 'Bush Derangement Syndrome'
Thugsta
Are the shells still available or is the sale pending?
tdifan_2003
Are the shells still available or is the sale pending? Same here :). Actually, isn't there supposed to be a range for the shells, not an exact size? What does it say on the inside of the shells? Moot point if they're sold . jacopodotti
Maybe the ATB, if you could find them, could be soft as the Head but I don't think they could be softer. Anyway here you could find a "small" post about Head Stratos http://www.extremecarving.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1034&highlight=accs
John Gilmour
Yeah I saw that thread a few years ago..very informative about modding your boots. Just wondering if there is any boot I might be missing...even ...shudder.... Halfpipe ski boots. But please understand..these are my opinions and certainly tons of people are super happy with their head and Deelux boots. I think I'm going to go with softer flex and try to lighten my set up this year..
jacopodotti
Hi John I actually use NorthWave .900 super boots, small footprint perfect forward backward flex , stiff lateral flex, but they are no more on the market and could be expensive to buy used one. I also have other boots. http://www.sportler.com/sportlerShop/prodotto/564/136105 Super super light and very confortable , medium foot print but need to be modified as here http://splitboard.com/talk/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=9644&p=72105#p72105 http://splitboard.com/talk/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=9040&st=0&sk=t&sd=a
