Dave Winters
Looking for a super turny carving truck. Have heard that these really crank but haven't been able to try any.. Opinions? Others to look at? Thanks!
Gecko
I know people who swear by them for loooong wheelbase boards. they turn a lot shorter than one would expect. I've only ridden one board that was (IMO) that worked with Revenge trucks and that was a CandySpanks Biglazy. Beware the ears that restrict movement have a habit of breaking which increases the turn to deadly levels
Dave Winters
Gecko, thanks for the reply. What are some other turny trucks? Thanks! Hey, here's a cool picture of a Gecko's eye!
Gecko
personally I like Indy's I have 11 boards now and all but two of them are on Indy's. One of the 2 remaining is on Ace's which is like being on old Indy's
Arclite
Yeah yeah. yeah I have one thing to say about revenge. EEEWWWWW I hate them. Go with some indy 215s or some randals! Experiment with bushings. Etc.
Gecko
They have their purposes, long rockered boards feel amazing, deep turns that go on forever. I just think they are limited
Arclite
Yeah, we have a set on our 60" board. They dive too much and hardly have any resistance or rebound, even after cranking the kingpin down. I couldn't slide them on a short(er) board either.
Bullwings
Turny carvy trucks... I'd say go with Bennetts with some Venom bushings a combination of an eliminator and a barrel (down hill) bushing. I noticed that venom has some "new" (to me) SHR bushings, anyone know what the SHR is? New formula of 'thane?
Gecko
yes SHR (super high rebound) is new, think of is as a few duro softer feeling than is advertised...I've only tried them in Eliminator shape on my DH/freeride board but they feel nice
Skully
Others to look at? Original Longboard Trucks are supposed to be similar to Revenges. I haven't ridden either, so no opinions. When I want super turny / carvy I ride a Carveboard (which is not very often, my slalom boards fit the super turny / carvy bill quite well too...) Arclite
I love my original S10s better than my friend's carveboard. Its all preference though
