scotts.Scheinman
Has anybody ridden here? I am in tucson and sadly enough I will not make a trip to a real hill this year and this might be my last ditch effort to get some runs in. Is it even worth my time to head up? ill be on soft boot rentals because I dont have my equipment here.:(
John E
I used to live in Tucson. When I did I was a skier. The way to do Mt Lemmon is to be an opportunist. If you get a cold winter rain in town, it's time to head up. As I recall, the area is small and the runs are pretty steep. The snow doesn't last long. I do recall a few good powder days there when there was a big cold winter rain & I went skiing instead of to work. I don't think that it is something you can plan. I would think the snow would be pretty much gone this late in the season. Good luck.
scrapster
Go for it! They still have good snow (if their website is up to date.) And the temps look promising. Funny, it will be 80 degrees in Vermont this weekend and in the 40's outside Tucson... Enjoy it while you can.
boarderboy
from the desert floor. I did it from Tucson in summer. One of the most memorable drives of my life. If I were in your softies, I'd go for it! Good Luck BB
