skategoat
Stratton, Smugglers, Stowe or Jay? Which is most carve-friendly with decent on-slope lodging? I'm leaning towards Jay right now.
Ernie00
jay isn't carve friendly, smugglers is a nice familly resort but make sure you are ready for super slow chairs. Stowe is pretty nice not sure about the lodging, when I go I stay in burligton. You can get some pretty good deals with Priceline and hotwire. Keopele
Although I hadn't started riding hardboots yet when I was there a few years ago, going from memory, Smuggler's didn't seem very carve friendly either. Hopefully lots of people will provide feedback from Stratton in the next few days.

Dave Pushee
I've been at the ECES event at Stratton all week. It's pretty carve friendly and currently has a load of snow all over the mountain. If you are planning a visit in the near future, I'd rate this one pretty high. I have no experience with weekend crowds at Stratton, and expect that it would be much busier than what we have seen this week.
