bodaro
I have Burton Wind. The flex is good but the toe area is super tight and I have a bunionette (bunion on small toe) as a result. I need new boots but fear that the Raichle SB 413 or DeLuxe LeMans will have the same fit - narrow toe, wide heel. Does anyone have experience comparing the fit between Burtons and Raichles? Any ideas here? Related question: for freeriding, would the LeMans or SB413 be abetter choice?
fin
bodaro, Do not have any experience with the Winds so I will leave that comparison to others. However, the one suggestion I can make is no matter what boot you decide on make sure it has a moldable liner. More so with you and your bunionette. Reason being during the molding you can do all kinds of cool modification to accommodate for "issues" with your feet. Example: we had a guy in a while back who had a bunion on the side of his right foot. Before molding we taped a small piece of foam over the bunion. Obviously during the molding this just irritated it but after the mold you take off he foam and now you have created a little "pocket" for the bunion so there is no longer pressure from the liner. We have done this for all kinds of crazy feet issues we see here.
Derf
I wear Burton Furnace boots, and I find them a little narrow for my liking, and I tried some Deeluxe Suzuka (Raichle AF600 I think is the old name) and the fit is still not what I'd like. I did not try the LeMans/SB413 though. The boots that have the best fit for my shape of feet (wide) are the Head Stratos, maybe you could try to find some to check the fit. The Deeluxe are wider in the toe area than the Burton. If you select a ThermoFlex liner the way suggested by Fin, you should be able to resolve your issues. trikerdad
A good boot fitter should be able to push your Burton's out in the area that is bothering you. They heat them then push out a 'bump' in the tight spot.
fishrising
My winds fit perfect, after some heating and stretching by a boot fitter...the Starting Gate at Stratton in VT did my boot work...
