ShortcutToMoncton
I was looking into shipping a board from Canada to England. It's a 180cm race board, so I roughly estimated package size at 190cm x 30cm x 14cm. The cheapest quote that UPS, Fedex and Canada Post web sites have spit back to me is about $300. That's... almost 10 times the cost it takes to ship from Canada to US. Does anyone else have any experience with cross-Atlantic shipping? Is it really this expensive or am I doing something wrong here? Thanks, greg
scrapster
I shipped a 156cm to Greece a few years back. I got a good price from USPS--but it JUST met their size limit. Any longer and it would have had to go with a private carrier. As for privates--for that board, FedEx would have cost me $375, UPS was best at $196. Dupraz gave me a quote for shipping a board from Germany last year--I'm pretty sure it was above $200. Good luck!

scrapster
I guess you could try a company like: http://www.uship.com/ They list international shippers among their service providers.
tdifan_2003
How about finding a "friend" who travels acros the ocean and pay his oversize airplaine charge, which will be by any means cheaper than the shipping charges. Another idea is again a friend overseas who is in the army. They ncan ship stuff with great discounts. Just my 2 cents - one per idea
Chris Houghton
DHL worked well for me a couple of years back - everyone else was far more expensive.
