There's an artificial ski slope in Lynchburg, VA near Liberty University...

I'm really curious to know if you can 'carve' on it, ie it has something to dig into and provide edge hold.

In the meanwhile I guess I have a little while to figure out what to do to replace my busted boots.

As it's pretty close to us, a few friends of mine went a few weeks ago. Their assessment was if you don't like hitting terrain features it's not realy worth it. Definitely NOT carve-able. Mostly sliding turns. You have to wear long pants and sleves or you'll get some pretty bad "rug burn" when you fall. I know another person who broke their wrist, but that could quite possibly be user error. Been wanting to go myslef just haven't found time yet!
