Zone
Last weekend, I went to Tahoe and had to cross the boarder at the Toronto airport with snowboards in tow. The US custom officer asked me where I was going etc...so I told him. He proceeded in asking what brand of boards I was riding, which led to the fact I was riding hardboots. He was interested (he's a softbooter) and told him where to ride locally (yyzcanucks has a demo program not far away with F2 boards and Deeluxe boots). Fortunately I was not pepper sprayed/tazered/body or board searched for riding the wrong equipment, or questioned for 3hrs regarding my riding technique:eplus2: That was the weirdest place to try to convert anyone. skategoat
How was Tahoe? I was there in Jan. and they were having one of the worst seasons on record. That kind of thing follows me around. Also the casinos were empty.
Daneille
How was Tahoe? We received 5 or more feet at Tahoe earlier this week:biggthump Biggest storm system of the season comes in March! Daneille
skategoat
My snowboard is still smarting from all the rocks and tree stumps when I was there in January. At least it was warm. I even took my final day off and played golf in Folsom. 73 degrees there. My new policy is to go west only in late February and March. Coverage is too iffy before that. Zone
Unfortunately I got home just before the big dump. But the 2 days there were sunshine and hero snow with plenty of base at Kirkwood.
