BobD
If you didn't see the Nova documentary on global dimming, you're missing half the story on global warming. It's an eye opener. <embed id="VideoPlayback" src="http://video.google.com/googleplayer.swf?docid=-2058273530743771382&hl=en&fs=true" style="width:400px;height:326px" allowFullScreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"> </embed>
Kimo
Thanks for the post. I've often wondered if there was an effect like that.
skatha
I first heard about this in the early 90s when they tracked a 1.5 C degree drop in the climate temps due to Mount Pinatubo exploding in the Phillippines-the effect lasted 18 months..... The dimming effect correlates to the use of lead in gasoline.....we cleaned up the atmosphere and let more warming light in.... Also, there's a strong correlation to solar output and warming from the end of the mini-Ice Age and up to 20 years ago. More sunlight-more heat There's also a correlation between commercial airlines routinely flying at 25,000-35,000 feet and warming global temps. Prior to the 60's, planes flew at much lower altitudes.....
