Bobby Buggs
I see some of you use different spring color combos, or different springs on each boot ect. Tell us what you use and why.
Steph
I use the blue springs, cause they match my blue boots;)
queequeg
Blue on top Red on bottom. I started out with the yellow on top and blue on bottom and found that too soft. I like to preload with the reds on the bottom so that makes it easier to pull my toes towards my knees in heelsides and encourages me to keep my knees bent. The blues on top are supportive but I can still bend my knees and get low very easily.

queequeg
preload the reds? Sorry - I twisted the bottom nut underneath the lower springs (red) such that they are pushing up somewhat against the aluminum block and compressing the blue springs somewhat. This way, when I am in a heelside turn and I want to pull my toes up a bit, it is a little easier with the help of the red spring - and when I am standing flat it brings the boot cuff forward somewhat so that my knees are in a naturally flexed position. Doing this also seems to make the blue springs a lot softer within a small flex range, but when I flex the boots foward hard there is a great deal more resistance once the red springs have expanded completely. Works nicely for me.
