mom
What is the best structure for a race board a straight line or a weave pattern? What is preferred? Someone told me that the weave pattern causes the race board to become a little squirrely. Any thoughts. Mom who needs to know. Mom
tex1230
Straight line (as in tip-to-tail) I don't think anyone uses that anymore...I haven't seen it in years. All of the high end tuners have their own patterns. You might try asking over in the racing forum - the coaches there should have a good idea. edit - you could also try calling Startingate or PTC and asking them. Great tunes at both places. I know Startingate does a lot of ski racing tunes, and they always do good work on my boards, but I don't race anymore...
pebu
I've read that a crosshatch pattern is the best structure. Tognar Toolworks (www.tognar.com) explains some tuning principles quite thoroughly. Base structure theory is here.
