trent
i can't make sat the 22nd, but plan on racing on the 23rd at welch. thinking about taking a road trip to giants too! oh, and by "racing", i mean i'll try to get around all those silly gates. hopefully standing, but maybe on my butt for a few of them. should i just give my money to karl, troy and patrick? -trent
Scuff
Trent: Cool! Glad to hear you're interested. Due to the colder temps this season, I predict that the Welch course's will hold up MUCH better than last year!
oldkey
Some of the pics I took this weekend (yes, I need to get them out of the camera) suggest otherwise.... you can beat everyone on any given run.... We look forward to seeing you on Sunday giving the "young guys" a run for their money. Mimi will be back as well making everyone look silly... Corduroy Artisan
I wish I could say I'd be there for these. My band plays the FineLine Saturday night which kinda screws up Sat and for sure wrecks gettin up early Sunday. Hmmm. I should train if I'm gonna race anyway. I kinda used to be good. Hmmm-

minnesnowta
How did the races go at Welch? Sorry I couldn't be there, though I'm sure Melissa didn't mind. A combination of being out until 5am Saturday morning and my mom refusing to drive in the bad weather on both days prevented me from going:lol: . Is there any G-Team training or gates being set anywhere between now and the 1st? -Mimi
Scuff
Hey Mimi! We all missed you... well... maybe not Melissa, (competition-wise). The Snow on Sat morning was really hard to drive in, and the power-outage at Welch delayed the comp start by more than an hour. Sunday got really cold. The attendance was not quite as great as previous years, esp. with the given weekend and weather. Courses both days were technically fairly straightforward, and somewhat favored the fearless - were very FAST and previous ruts and crunchy/icy in the corners were a challenge.. (Parent's kept saying "We can HEAR the ice" from down at the bottom.) Despite all that everyone did very well. Sorry - I do not have a complete list of results from the Welch race. Hopefully the ALT's site will post results soon. Gates? - Ugh-uh. Unless Troy is setting tomorrow (Thurs) as part of the 'Hyland Holiday Camp', I don't think so. I wouldn't mind running some gates this week - will look into it. HI Kent!! :D
minnesnowta
I will be out at Buck on Sunday morning for a few hours....I have a professional photographer coming out to take some pictures, it should be a lot of fun. So if you or anybody else (I'm going to see if Patrick or Melissa are interested) wanted to come out and get some sweet shots of yourself riding that would be awesome. :)

Scuff
The starting time of the Giants Ridge alpine competition was delayed due to timing equipment errors - therefore we were only able to run three of the four scheduled events before the sunlight gave out. The remaining Giant Slalom event will be re-scheduled. Will post the new time/place as soon as it is available. *original post updated.*
Scuff
*Post updated* The GS event that was postponed at Giants Ridge has been rescheduled to THIS Saturday, March 1st - at Hyland Hills. More info here: USASA.org
