In preparation for the USASA races at Welch Village on Dec 22nd & 23rd,

The G Team will holding an alpine practice at Wild Mountain

this Sunday Dec 16th from 9AM-12NOOON

While this is primarily a training session for our team riders, we would

like to extend this opportunity to others. Any boarder who is interested in

racing or just running some gates with us is welcome to attend.

Will be setting a GS course.

Course timing will not be available (but I'll have a stopwatch.)

Don't worry Doug - I'll run the stopwatch for you, so all you have

focus on is your riding. :D

Not sure that many of 'the Buck gang' find racing that appealing.. esp

if travel is involved, but come out if you like. Bring both SL and GS boards if

you've got 'em - not sure which course we'll be setting first.

A couple hours of gate time (and some racing tips, if you like) for just

the cost of a Wild lift ticket is a pretty good deal.

If not, Jessie and I are still hoping to ride Sunday morning

at Buck, so might see you then.

P.S. - What the crap is your avatar supposed to be?

Looks like mesothelomia..

It is my wrist..... I broke my scaphoid (sp?) snowboarding at Wild about 17 years ago (YIKES!). That is a picture of it as of about 5 years ago.

It kind of gets lost in the avatar size.

So you and Jess are going to ride Buck then shoot up to Wild??????

MUD: Wrist - Oh, Ow Ow Ow Ow..

Yeah that's kinda the plan, but Jess will only be going to Buck. She has other non-snowboarding plans in the afternoon.. like running 9 miles or something.

Yeah, I don't plan on doing it again......:o

non-snowboarding plans...... pptthhhh wimp.

awesome day boys and girl! i had a blast riding with everyone. got going scary fast in the course many times. just shows how much more practice i need so i can get in "race" mode, instead of "oh crap!" mode.

karl, troy, and g-teamers: thank you very much for inviting us outsiders. always fun to ride with y'all, and i'm always learning from you guys.

to everyone who went freeriding after.... thanks for keeping me company. after you all took off, i was able to get some runs in on the main race hill and on the other hill we were eyeing (next to eric's new favorite hill :p ). they both sucked! stupid flat light. both looked fine from the chair, but i got tossed around like a rag doll from all the ruts. so i just kept to the runs we had been hitting before.

Thanks everyone for coming out to ride GS, and for your help with

setting/pulling the course. Despite the flat light, variable snow conditions,

and close-calls with reckless skiiers on-course, :angryfire it sounds like everyone had a good time.

Course was wicked-fast and really gave you the chance to push your

threshold for speed & control. Whee! Look forward to riding with

you again soon.

Hey, it's the bionic man!

Erik, you going to come out to BH one of these weekend mornings? Christmas Eve morning?

All healed up from the surgery last year!

It depends on how much sleep I get on Sunday night. I will be at Indianhead all day up in the U.P. and I have to go to a family thing Christmas Eve evening.
