D.T.
I am looking at shipping a mountain bike frame from Colorado to Australia. I anticipate the box will be 36" x 24" x 8" and weigh 14lbs. From the USPS website, Global Express Guaranteed appears to be the only option that will accept a box of this size. USPS wants $156 to ship it. DHL and UPS want four to five times that amount. Question: does anyone have any advice? Am I doing something wrong? Anyone know of a cheaper way to ship this package? TIA
D-Sub
check your mail...but...odds are USPS is going to be the least expensive. I mailed you that I get significant FedEx discounts but I don't think they'll beat the USPS price. shipping big stuff overseas is very, very expensive. RJ-PS
Call Fedex and ask for their great rates line, its an 800 #. When you call ask for the best rate and they'll tell you which day is the cheapest to send it. You have to sign up for an account, but it's free and you'll probably get it less that $156.
