SEJ
Go figure, every spec. but the important one. I'm not familiar with this board?
nekdut
NateW's sidecut calculator puts it at 11.3m.
Thor VonRippington
NateW's sidecut calculator puts it at 11.3m. Thanks nekdut... not exactly a SL cut as advertised. Could be a fun stick though. Very similar to a Madd in shape.
BlueB
I think it's progressive scr, something like 9-10-11 or 10-11-12. They are supposed to be lively rides. Didn't ride one though. Knowing Elan's quality (F2, at the end of the day) it should be bomb proof. Oh ya, I think its cap construction.
ft4lbch
This is quite the demanding crowd. Well, your remarks prompted me to do some more digging beyond my first(read half-assed) attempt and I believe these number are more accurate and will be more to your liking. Cheers!!! The board is a year 2000 model. http://www99.epinions.com/otdr_snowboard-Elan_Race-Ballistic <table class="rkr" id="product_spec" style="border: 1px solid rgb(187, 214, 239);" bgcolor="#bbd6ef" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" width="100%"> <tbody><tr bgcolor="white" valign="center"> <td style="border-bottom: 1px solid rgb(187, 214, 239); padding-left: 10px;" nowrap="nowrap" width="35%">Brand</td> <td style="border-bottom: 1px solid rgb(187, 214, 239);" width="65%">Elan</td></tr> <tr bgcolor="white" valign="center"> <td style="border-bottom: 1px solid rgb(187, 214, 239); padding-left: 10px;" nowrap="nowrap" width="35%">Edge</td> <td style="border-bottom: 1px solid rgb(187, 214, 239);" width="65%">152</td></tr> <tr bgcolor="white" valign="center"> <td style="border-bottom: 1px solid rgb(187, 214, 239); padding-left: 10px;" nowrap="nowrap" width="35%">Lengths</td> <td style="border-bottom: 1px solid rgb(187, 214, 239);" width="65%">171</td></tr> <tr bgcolor="white" valign="center"> <td style="border-bottom: 1px solid rgb(187, 214, 239); padding-left: 10px;" nowrap="nowrap" width="35%">Sidecut</td> <td style="border-bottom: 1px solid rgb(187, 214, 239);" width="65%">8.4</td></tr> <tr bgcolor="white" valign="center"> <td style="border-bottom: 1px solid rgb(187, 214, 239); padding-left: 10px;" nowrap="nowrap" width="35%">Style</td> <td style="border-bottom: 1px solid rgb(187, 214, 239);" width="65%">Speed</td></tr> <tr bgcolor="white" valign="center"> <td style="border-bottom: 1px solid rgb(187, 214, 239); padding-left: 10px;" nowrap="nowrap" width="35%">Waist</td> <td style="border-bottom: 1px solid rgb(187, 214, 239);" width="65%">18.6</td></tr> <tr bgcolor="#eff7ff" valign="center"> <td style="border-bottom: 1px solid rgb(187, 214, 239); padding-left: 10px;" colspan="2" height="25">More Information</td></tr> <tr bgcolor="white"> <td style="padding: 10px;" colspan="2" bgcolor="white">"Last year's Ballistic was on fire in the race course, notching two World Cup victories. Seb
I have/had 2 of these board: A 163 that I used couple years ago and sold it last year. A 155 that I used last year as a PSL board, I damaged one edge last spring and I won't be able to race with it again. I fixed it and I will keep it for spring snow. Those board had a progressive radius, according to your weight distribution ( forward or not ) you could acheive different radius. Very lively board indeed, Cap construction. Mine was pearl white, go figure what year it was. From what I heard, Elan is building the Sigi Alpine snowboard. Seb
