queequeg
I am buying all new tuning tools for my all new board (my old stuff is gone/in bad shape). After reading a few guides, this is what I have settled on for now, I will have to add more for next season but since I will only be doing spring riding this season, it seems like this will work, based upon what I have read: Tognar Combo Brush -- combination brush. Chugger Wax Iron -- cheap iron for hot waxing Snowboard Wax Scraper -- seems pretty essential Brass Supertooth brush -- for cleaning files Zoom Renew Wax - graphite bases -- I'll need for my new board/spring slush Multi Edge Tuner with Mill File -- comes with a file and 3 diamond stones Grub Screws- 10/bag -- for protecting the empty inserts What are your opinions? Not enough? Too much? I'm trying to keep the spending down ... this is been a REALLY expensive month with all the new gear I'm buying. tpalka
I'm sure you'll get a ton of different opinions, but I find myself settling down to just 3 diamond stones, a brass brush, and Ray's WaxWhizard (search BOL to find more info on that). I hardly hotwax anymore, but clean the edges and wax the base almost every time I ride -- so this minimalistic setup works out well. I also recommend a 5mm "knuckle saver" T-wrench and a can of Bomber Butter.
