skategoat
Does anyone know how FIS determines your age grouping? Is it as of Jan. 1, the start of the season, or the actual race date? If start of the season, when is that?

yyzcanuck
OK, for this year/season, the competition year begins July 1, 2006 and ends June 30, 2007. To be classified as a "Junior", for this competition year, your birthdate would have to be on any date of the years 1987 -> 1991.
philfell
There aren't really any age "groupings" in FIS. You must be a minimum of 15 on Dec 31 to compete. To qualify for Junior world you must be 19 or under on Dec 31. But you don't get a seperate junior world ranking or anything like that.
