patmoore
Reigning super G world champion Bode Miller (Bretton Woods, NH) reclaimed the overall World Cup lead (guess he doesn't miss Atomic!) and the SG points lead Wednesday, rocketing to victory in Hinterstoder. The win - his 24th - came just 90 minutes after Lindsey Kildow (Vail, CO) and Julia Mancuso (Olympic Valley, CA) finished 1-2 in a downhill at Val d'Isere, France, and gave the U.S. Ski Team nine podium finishes in an unprecedented seven straight races over six days. The American women are rocking!!! The Austrian Men are having an uncharacteristically down year. And none of it will be shown on TV in the States - what a great opportunity being missed by the American media. WCSN.com will broadcast streaming video coverage of three World Cup races Wednesday. Miller's victory, starting at 2 p.m. ET, will be sandwiched between Mancuso's winning DH Tuesday and Kildow's victory about a half-hour before the men's race began in Hinterstoder. pebu
I'm not really sure why, but skiing must not pull in the ratings. Every time it's on I end up watching it, but others must not see it that way.
Neil Gendzwill
The Canadian team is also doing not so shabby this year, buncha podiums so far.
wavechaser
Not only did Bode win, but he CRUSHED the field by .79 seconds - a margin that separated the next 21 racers! Same for Lindsey in the DH - she won by 1.24 seconds!! That margin separated the next eight skiers. Thanks for the heads up Pat!

I agree though, AWESOME start to the season, if only we could say the same thing about the weather :o . Gotta love the american media. Football is waaaayy more interesting than Skiing at 80mph . Ahhh once again...american culture .
