Senior_Technical_Writer
One of my boards is a K2 Skinny that I purchased (pro-formed) while I worked in a ski shop in the Minneapolis area (winter of '95). It is 167 length and has a great amount of sidecut; I was told K2 only made 400 of the boards. Anyway, I absolutely love it, and was just wondering if anyone else out there has one. Thanks, Chad in Madison, Wisconsin, USA
slopetool
No, I've never seen or heard of the K2 Skinny board. I'm curious to hear more about it. 1/400? Definitely you may have something rare. I want to see what the other guys say too. I would guess that I've seen most models of early K2 boards. We would love to see some pictures. Bordy
Not worth babying like a collectable but well worth making turns on if you ride withen its limits. I rode and broke alot of skinnys. Be aware they are a race shape with a weak core. I am sure you are loving the ride but a newer model year board rides circles around the Skinny. But they were fun. dr. sandman
Was my first alpine board. Bought it gently used about 4 or 5 years ago. Very forgiving and a great shovel shape for the soft stuff. I just gave it to my 21 year old son for him to use in his first alpine set up. Enjoy it!! trikerdad
I had a K2 Alpine board in about '95 but, it was green. All I remember about it, other than the color, is that I kept overpowering the nose and never got comfortable on it.
slopetool
Yeah, I faintly recall that board. But never seen one on the slopes. Damn fine looking board too.
