donec freecarve 176 - hot blast 176

hello,

i've ridden a mboo 172 race-board for years, untill the board got lost.

then i buyed a hot blast 158, this board i liked a lot, bit i missed the stability of a larger board. i desided to go for a coiler, but they were sold out for this season, then i looked at a donek 176, but finally, - i don't know why- i buyed a hot blast 176.

i ride on td2's or F2 titan and Deeluxe spa-boots. My question: 1) which binding to mount on which board. 2) i'm not a very good carver: will the 176 be to difficult to learn?

Ahh Belgium - home of the best beer in the world - LEFFE!!!

I don't think going from 172 to 176 will be a huge difference. Put the TD2's on the 176 and experiment with different settings until it all feels right. If you use toe lift on the front foot and heel lift on the back foot, you can comfortably use a wider stance. That will make the board feel shorter. If it still feels too long, try mounting the bindings on the center of the sidecut, or 2 centimeters forward of center.
