Hello,
I mounted my new td2s non-step-in on my blast 178, and went out boarding for 10 days
My weight is aprox 85kg. and i have the medium rings, boots Leemans.
What can i say about the bindings: i ride a wide stance, so i bought the 3 and 6 degree cant/lift.
I also ride another pair of bindings, F2 titanium, which i tried for 10 days in january.
In my opinion, the TD2s are of a much better quality. I can't imagine breaking them. What the riding concerns: i don't know how to explain, but the td2s make me a better rider. Because of the construction of the td2s i can make my angles a little lower. With a 28,5 mondo boot size, i can make angles of 55 50 on a 19,7 wide board.
BUT: is there someone who can explain me how that it's possible that those bindings affect my riding so much? After all they are just an inert construction to fix my boots on the board?
Is it because of the base-plate, because of the height, psychological?, because of the stiffness?
The explanations on BOL helped me a lot to improve my technic, especially in keeping my but above the board.
I made the conclusion that it's the tric to adjust your body-position is such a way that you put as much weight as you can on the edges, and it really helped me.
After 10 years, and more than 300 days trying, i can now go deep, even on ice.
Now i'm waiting for my coiler PR184II to arrive.
