I had a great time, despite the winds it was an amazing day. It was good to meet everyone and i really enjoyed myself. And also enjoyed raggin on all the oldies. I must say, riding with much more experienced and skilled people really helped me and i probabaly learned more all that day than i have this entire season. Special thanks to Henry for the ride and Rob for the entertainment and beer. Hopefully Bruce is doing alright. -Victor Plopeanu

Anyone have a set of burton 3x3 aluminum disks? i have seen a few arorund a while back but i thought id get myself a set. Any advantage to the plastic ones?, Besides strength

I know a guy who rides a dirtsurfer, i tried to ride it with very little luck. Although, i would like to actually get better at riding them beucase they seem like ALOT of fun.

A friend of mine who rides a freeride board wanted to try my alpine, since he has the same foot size and shape he used my hardboots too. I set the angles at 45 for him and he seemed to do alright. He said the first 2 or 3 runs were shakey but after that he got the hang of it. Id say it really depends on the riding ability of the people who are going to ride the board or how quickly they can adapt to the angles and narrower stance.

see, now id have to be nuts to try that, kite boarding alone scares me, but going down a mountain with rocks and such, maybe il try it

me and my friend did that to his old snowboard, we had 220mm trucks on it and a wind surfing thing on it (dont know what its called), we went wind road surfing

csquared: Thanks for all the info, i was just having a look at the trail map and some of the pictures and i cant wait to get out there! And the whole low traffic thing puts a smile on my face beucase theres nothing worse than waiting in lift lines.

thumbs up to modern love, def. in my top 5 for me it would have to be house of the rising sun - animals (live) dark side of the moon - Floyd ( i know its a whole album but its soo nie to ride to) adagio for strings - dj tiesto (gotta spice it up)

ahahahaha nice man, i actually started longboarding way before this alpine thing, it though id go from the less popular skate sport to the less popular snowboard sport. which i found to be a good idea!

Really cool looking boards utahcarver, mine are a bit less natural looking:D Right now i ride two boards, the skull skates is for tooting arround town and the rayne is hopefully going to be my fun board. Skull Skates Flow Dart, i think its 46 inches long, on randal 180s and gumball wheels. My other board is kinda in transit and at home, its a Rayne Blunt with Crail Speed Trucks and some sort of wheel, havent decided.
