I rode this last winter at ~210 and wouldn't call it soft. More like a race style board without some of the unforgiving attributes of a full race set up. If you are uncertain, you might try sending Bruce and email and see what he thinks.

If you are considering boots that can go from snowboard to skis or are looking for a more responsive and supportive boot than snowboard-specific hardboots, these are it. Good for racing too.
Not too stiff with the 6-flex tongues, but much more lateral stiffness than Deeluxe boots.
This board is about as forgiving as it gets for a 180+ race style board.
The flex is moderately forgiving and damp.
