  2. Need help choosing resort.

    I have last 2 weeks of January open. \Our party will be my wife and I, Brotherinlaw,wife and 3 kids....took them all to Breck last year and put them in the bowls....They are stoked to go again.

    I have been all over, I ride in NJ 2-3x a week - snow permitting. The thing is - my travel has always benn in late Feb to beginging March....

    So where is the best snow in January? And I definitely want ride in/ride out.

    Maybe a cabin instead of a hotel or condo.

    Anyone suggest anywhere or own anything and want to rent?

    Keenan - continue to send emails - and continue to call....be persistant without frustration. RDY_2_carve has it correct...he is a one man shop.

    You just need to get him on the phone once. Then from there it will all come together. Be patient - it is so worth it.......!!!!!!!!!

    I went to camelbak today - after March 16 - theyhonor passes from other mountains...so it cost me $0 to ride today.

    I have a day off of work on Friday. Who will be at Blue?

    WOW WOW WOW!!!!!

    It was 25 degrees and the surface was rock hard......I never once skidded out. I was lying them down like it was a free powder groomer....the only marks on the runs were mine....and the were deep trenches.

    Had a couple people ask if I had razors for edges.

    I am speechless - if you haven't been on a Coiler Metal - put it at the top of the list.....Chubz/JBS your right - I am no longer the same person I was before I rode this board.

  19. Brighton, Snowbird, or Solitude?

    Brighton was my fav for trees.....Snowbird best for all mountain/freestyle stuff. Chubz is right....eagle chair best for carving.

    Solitude was wide open and the best for laying it down.....it is much smaller and there aren't as many choices as the other 2.

    Try to hook with a local.....pick them up hitch hiking usually works...them to pay you back they will show you some sweet back country.

    I had the same issue at beginning of year with riding a larger board.

    After advise from WB - my 185 donek fc turns just like my madd 170:biggthump:biggthump:biggthump

    also the heel lift thing.......i had this problem also....i cut a mustache looking pc out of some 1/8"-1/4" dense foam and duct taped it to the outer part of my liner heel - it gave a pinch to the achilles tendon and assisted in holding my heel down. Completely changed my edge hold.

    please work it out - I didn't get to see the heelside EC everyone is complimenting on.

    got up this morning and looked aout the window - ran rain rain...check forecast - looks like 80% chance of rain until 1. I am crawling back in bed and moving my Blue mt trip to monday(forecast looks bright and sunny:D)

    2 hours to ride in the rain? - I'll go tomorrow
