  1. The technique-geek purist in me says that this is cheating.

:nono: Cheating can be done only in a competition. I believe people with that much experience and their high level of techniques can do the same without their hands on the slopes.

I think you just have started a flame of war.

  2. I have no noticeable slop in the intec connection at all. I just stepped in in my living room and tried to move my heels around and the pins didn't shift at all.

    Me too.

Henry, I don't think it's a good idea to allow any movements. My TD1, TD2 and X-bone do not allow any slop at all.

  3. Hello everybody...

I should change my Burton Fire due to their age.

I've just tried the DeeLuxe Suzuka but they are too low on the leg: I'm looking for a pair of boots that are enough high on the leg (like Burton Fire or DeeLuxe Indy).

I tried the Le Mans too but... they are too soft! While I was charging my weight simulating a frontside carve, the shell was loosing its shape!!! :-O

I see that Head ones are similar to the Suzuka.

Which other brand could you suggest to substitute the Burton Fire?

    Thanks a lot...

Probably Deeluxe Indy has similar flex with Burton Fire.

  4. ds good, something in the 182 range. If you like the dampness of the Proton, you might like something like an F2 Speedster RS 182. Or even a 178 at your weight. They are a lot of fun and are really stable, you can talk on the cell phone or shoot video while straightlining.

With Coiler Titanal PR, it wont let you talk on a cellphone because you are already at the bottom of the slope :biggthump

  5. I seriously doubt there's any specific speed regulations otherwise the patrollers would have to carry radar guns. I'm sure it's a judgement call. The code says you have to be in control, so if the patroller judges you're not in control or that you can't stop quickly enough or that you're on a green run and scaring the crap out of the gates^h^h^h^h^hbeginners then you might get in trouble.

Is it possible to go fast on a green run? I'm not good enough to use beginners as the gates. :o

If it's a judgement call, then the patroller owned me. :nono:

  6. Last year, I got my ticket cut off by a patroller because I was speeding. Actually, I wasn’t but he thought that I was  . Anyway, I was wondering what are the rules and regulations regarding speed boarding and straight descending on a public resort. How fast can I go? If I’m in control, is straight descending allowed?

Not that I want to kill myself, just curious about the regulations.

  7. I'm hoarding a couple of short boards for my kids to grow into but they are probably too small for me - a Rossi Throttle 159 and a Burton Factory Prime 160. I don't know, are these SL boards?

    Other than that, I have:

    168 Volkl Renntiger RT GS

    175 Coiler Racecarve

    174 Prior 4x4

    164 Volkl Spline freeride/boardercross

    160 Burton Fish

I need something softer and smaller radius for mellow riding with the family. My 9 year old, 13 year old and skier wife just don't seem compelled to go balls-out fast. My 13 year old is getting close. Also just want a Sims Burner just to ride a few times and hang on the wall as piece of snowboarding history.

I guess they are not....I thought I saw somewhere that you sold long sticks for short ones.....

    Anyway, check your email.

  8. ..well went out to Okemo today for my first day of the season. Beautiful sunny blue bird day. After my 12th run I notice something strange on the toe side going into my heel side. It was a pop and a crack. At first I thought it was my new boots on got 2 week ago.

Well it was the TD 1 rear bail. I couldn't believed it. I busted 5 Burton race bails, which are known to happen, but never expected to bust the TD. I only use them for 4 seasons.

It was a good thing I was riding very low to the snow. I was able to stop in time before getting real close to the woods.

Just wondering if anyone else ever busted Bomber bails before. Any chance bomber can replace them? Will call them later. :(

Zcarver, how much do you weight? I thought that only bending is possible on those bails but I guess I was wrong. I think you should ask Fin to replace with Ti bail when you ask him to replace it. Even if you have to pay extra for the Ti bail, it's well worth the money IMHO.
