  1. I just broke my Madd when it slid out of the rack on a snowmobile and caught on the ground at Breck. It was a 170 with an orange sidewall. I am looking to replace it if anyone wants to clean out thier quiver. I would also take a green sidewall (softer??) but red is probably too stiff for me. Thanks, Bill wadams@vailresorts.com
  2. I have one in the board muesum with about 9 days on it. It kicks my ass every time I ride it so I finally put it away. Has some sentimental value since I knew some of the guys down at Volant before they went down but make me an offer and we'll see.(Or will trade for a Corvette) No base dings, no edge dings or dents. one small nickle size dimple in the top where a guy cartwheeled through the lift line (looks like a small hail ding on a car). Bill
  3. Thanks for the quick replies and info, I'm looking for a narrower board. Bill
  4. I am in Breck till Monday night (poor me) but I have to go to Denver next week. Do you know the waist width?
  5. I'm thinking, how can I tell my wife what that long cardboard box is on the front porch?
  6. I will give the 130 for the lot if you take Paypal or are local (Colorado) to meet. Bill
  7. Would you rate it hard, soft, or in betwwen? Compared to what? How heavy are you?

If you can handle a 166 I have a nice one. It has the salmon colored base and white top. Nice condition, I rode it a total of 6 days. Let me know
  9. Thanks, I will see if I can get my hands on a copy
  10. For GS my daughters coach wants ½ degree base bevel back to the boots (each end) and 1 degree base bevel between the feet. His reasoning is that he doesn’t want the board to “slap” in the middle of the transition; instead he wants more of a “roll” over to the new edge, even if it allows a little slippage in between. Once the board is through the transition and up on a high angle of attack, the effect of base bevel is negligible. Have fun on that Duck!
  11. Sounds great, too far away for me but who knows, if we get a few of these going it could start to snowball. I've got a few contacts at Copper and Breck and am going to seriously pursue it.
  12. Yea, they had one a Copper yesterday, but it was $25 for two runs, and there is no pre-race practice. I would love to do it but a day or two practising gates beforehand would be nice.
  13. Do you know what month? Or how to get a copy?
  14. Allright, no skiers, I was just trying to be nice Also I have to disagree with the guy who brought up racing. The goal in racing is to beat the other person down the hill......period. Carving is about going fast, but it's also about STYLE. I got to see Klug race last year and he was fast (he won), but he wasn't pretty. The course was rutted out and these guys were all over the place trying to keep it together.
  15. He made a very sincere apology after I ripped him about his poor integrity and his lack of knowledge about eBay (he couldn't figure out how someone could magically outbid him by a buck each time he placed a bid! He was probably totally surprised when after 20 bids he all of a sudden showed up as high bidder) Call me stupid but I believe him and am willing to move on
  16. The saga of the Killer loop continues, quicky 3 day auction, buy it on Sunday night, I will ship on Monday. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7120321677&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT
  17. Designated carving hill, a crazy idea??? Has anyone ever promoted the idea of a designated carving hill, similar to a terrain park? It could be gated on top with signage explaining the rules and maybe some tips on how to carve. Put in a high visibility area (under a lift) to attract more interest. Open to skiers and boarders alike. Groom it 4 times a day (OK, now I’m really dreaming) 10 years ago who would have thought they would spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on special equipment and labor to build terrain parks? This is easy in comparison. I would gladly wait 10 minutes to have a shot at a completely empty hill on a busy day. - Would provide a congregation area for carvers to get to know each other - Would increase our skills, your fellow carvers are watching - Would promote the sport of carving and attract more participants (read more demand for gear = more manufactures providing product = more local shops stocking gear) Pipe dream?????????????????????
  18. Thanks for all the input, I tried the second chance option but the next bidder had already bought that Burton 185 and blown his wad. I was pretty hot about it this morning, I have done about 80 ebay deals and this was my first snag. I did get a sincere apology from Scott today and I am going to let it go and concentrate on the fun stuff. 34 hours from right now ................. peak 10 Thanks again for all the help
  19. Now I feel stupid, I must have checked off his box when I did a mass leave feedback session last night. Found out more today about the deal. The Scott guy was using his roommates ebay account. He bid up the board and then found a different one on this site and agreed to buy it. He then backed out of the Killer Loop deal. I filed a no payment on the guy but it won't matter since it won't really affect him.
  20. You will have another chance at it, I'm going to put it back on tonight at $25, no reserve. 14" at Breckinridge last night!!!!!!!!!!!!
  21. Sellers Beware! A guy just backed out of an ebay bid on a carving board after winning. I don't know his name but his e-mail is scott_wgj@yahoo.com and his ebay ID is canadianman99. If you sold him something, good luck getting paid.
  22. We have 3 carvers in the family and a board inventory at the beginning of the year added up to 13. I made each person pick their favorite 3 and the rest have to go. I bought the Wild duck last spring and have only a few days on it myself. I also have a 172 Oxygen that is a bit softer than the Duck which fits my riding better, hence the sale. I honestly don't know how much action it has had in the past, but judging from the base it was well treated. The topsheet has a white sub-color that shows any little scratch as a big white line. Cosmetically the top is a bit ugly but the bindings will cover the worst marks and a few well placed stickers can mask the rest. As for ending the auction early, ebay won't allow it once a bid has been made without getting a black mark against you. Good luck
  23. Killer Loop 180 Wild Duck 171 Burton 158 A really strange skateboard ebay link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7117551287&ssPageName=ADME:B:EF:US:1 auctions end Wednesday
