  1. Used burton step-in bindings with extra heel cups. These came on a board and I never used them. They are in good shape, all 4 heel cups work nicely. They are spring loaded and need to be preset to step into. The pads that came with them seem thin, as the screws stick down below the plate. I would either make new pads or use different screws before riding them. I can supply 3 or 4 hole discs. $100 includes shipping
  2. I'm still interested. What sort of payment would you like. email sent steve

    Ripped Off

I have that same board just sitting around. I bought it 2 years ago as a demo and it looked brand new, I rode it about 12 days and then got a oxygen kr72 and haven't ridden it since. Base and edges are in great shape, top sheet has normal scratches from use. Always stored on a rack upside down with wax. Looks like 5/8 of an inch of camber. I could get it to you for $150 including shipping. Steve.
  9. I was thinking of going to copper to ride tomorrow(tuesday). I have only ridden there 1 time 3 years ago. What are some of the good trails and what lift should I take to get started? Blues and blacks are my interest. Thanks Steve.
  10. Hello, I am a WP rider. I ride weekends mostly, I like to get there first thing and carve for a few hours before it gets overly crowded. This is my 3rd season carving but have been boarding for 16 years now. I have been seeing and meeting more carvers lately. Drop me a email if you would like. Steve
  11. I'll take the rear cant if still available.
  12. I usaully get out every saturday and sunday right at opening and get in a couple of hours of carving. I'd be glad to ride with you. Drop me an email.Steve
  13. I had a lift op ask if it was harder than snowboarding this last weekend as well.
  14. If you can get there early enough Hughes is the steepest groomed run they have, but they always set up race courses on it. If you get there right when it opens you can usually get a couple of runs on it . Cramner and the trails to the skiers left of it are usaually all groomed. Larry Sale is a half run that can be fun as well. These are all on the Winter Park side. On the Mary Jane side for groomers there is the Mary Jane trail as well as another half run Arrowhead Loop. There is also sleeper but it's nicknamed scraper. If there is powder and you want bumps and trees Mary Jane is it. Hope this helps.
  15. My first day on a real carving setup was at SES03 . It's a great event to check out gear and other riders doing their thing. If you can make it I highly recommend it. I hope to make it to a day or two again this year.
  16. I would be interested in a pair. size 27
  17. around 55 this year thanks to carving. I was down to about 20 -25 days a year before I started carving last year. I used to just go out on powder days.
  18. I just picked up a kr72c . I have ridden it twice and love it. I rode it all day at Beaver Creek during the SES. I was going to demo some boards but was having too much fun on it. I am 5' 11" and wieigh 155. Hope this helps.
  19. Chris, the guy on the 188 is named Rex. He is riding a sims burner splittail. I rode with him one afternoon. There is a guy named Ben that teaches snowboarding at Winter Park who is certified as a hard boot instructor. I rode with him a few weeks ago. He teaches year round, Winter Park now and then back in New Zealand. If you can find him he might be able to help you out. Also I have an extra board if you want to meet and give it a go some day. Hope this helps.
  20. They are selling them for $130 on ebay as well . I just scored one for myself as well as my roommate.
  21. Oh yeah this started out being about boards. To me it is the stiffness of the board that makes the carve board less desireable than a powder board in the fluff. Although I did ride my 169 ultra prime in a foot of powder last week and was smiling the whole time.
  22. I started riding hard boots last season after 13 years of riding soft boots. The biggest attraction for this was the versatility of the bindings. I have always preferred to ride with a cant and the soft bindings ( except for the new catek) are just not as adjustable. I ride powder in a pair of raichle 122's in the walk mode. I also find the boots more comfortable. The bake to fit liners are the best. Also just like to say thanks to this site for all the info about carving. It's good fun to read as well. The bottom line is remember it's all about having fun no matter what your riding!!!
