  1. We are kinda going to be all around.  Just trying to find some guys/gals to carve with. Brighton, Snowbasin, PC.  I haven't been to Solitude since maybe '81, of course skiing then.

  2. I counted 14 on the first day, Sunday.  Max, Dan, Octavio, Igor, Mark (Kram), Mark (Miller), Dane, Dale, Hayden, Stephen, Rick, Ryan, Garrett and Evan.

Monday we had 11, One new guy (sorry can't remember his name), Monty, and Russ (pussbag).   Now I'm on the injured list for today.

The snow conditions and weather have been tremendous (for carving).

  3. I will be getting lift pass vouchers in a few days.  Before tax (both sales and resort tax) the tickets will cost $54 adult, $36 child for full day.  You will need a voucher to get this discount, and you will need a voucher for each pass you purchase.

Please let me know how many passes you will need, and what dates you expect to visit.  You can send me a PM if you don't want your boss to know where you are.

  4. I have confirmed the dates for the event with the events director.  Jan30-Feb3 2017.  I am meeting with him on Monday to discuss the event as a whole and get the resort to add it to their schedule SO THE WHOLE WORLD CAN SEE!!!!

I have spoken with a videographer about working with us, we are planning to get together and do some test shooting around X-mas time; he says he has a friend that is a photog I hope to talk to soon.

  5. I am working on contacting Schweitzer officials about the carving event.  The marketing director has been very responsive, just waiting for the events director to return messages I have left.

Do any of you have suggestions for things you would like to happen?  Vendors have been approved, PM me so I can get you in touch with the directors if you are an interested party.  I am planning on having Thirst snowboards available for sale and for demo for those of you who need an incredible-new thinking-engineered ride.

Stay tuned for updates, and tell anyone you can to attend NICE!  The more the better.

If some of you have not been to Schweitzer before, I'll tell you it is a great resort for carving!  It is a modern resort with high-speed detachable lifts.  Ride cruisers, winch groomed STEEP runs, and trees without fighting crowds.  On mountain lodging is available with plenty of places to eat and a new day lodge at the top, that will be celebrating it's grand opening just weeks before the event.

I ride regular.  Presumably, based on you pm, there is an 8R version and an 8G ?  Lovely board.  I like the shape.

maybe more than I want to spend on traditional construction .   It's me, not the board (makes me think of Seinfeld).     Still, I could be persuaded to take a chance on it.  Still mulling it over.

    Thanks again

None of my boards are traditional in construction, from the core to the shape...event the sidewalls on this board are engineered. Visit my website Thirstsnowboards.com,  Check out some video there or on my FB page "thirst snowboards".  Give me a call (left my number in the PM) I'll be happy to explain more. 8G, that's funny.  Not a day goes by that there is not a "Seinfeld moment".
