Yes! This was in my backyard. What you don’t know about this photo is that I had the most startlingly moist and confidence boosting fart mid air and that I was actually putting mustard on a pretzel when the photo was taken.

Great looking HD5, and good air off that jump! I love my Ibis bikes.

Thanks! There’s something about these Ibis bike that just feels right to me. Demoed a yeti and an ibis ripmo before buying the hd5. Didn’t like the yeti at all. Had the ripmo af before the hd. Like the 27.5 much better.

I've been done since the last week of February.  Work sucks. Weather sucks. Only 32 days this season which I s'pose ain't bad, but well below my average. 😕

    Bring on the golf. 👍

Excuse me sir, but mall season is starting.

I had an excuse NOT to go this morning, which may or may not be betterer than going.  Dogs had a vet appointment.  I guess it's perspective. I've run out of excuses for tomorrow morning, unfortunately...

I believe you possess the ingenuity to come up with not only one, but several excuses if need be. It’s not like there’s a verification process for excuses at creek so you can feel free to use flimsy ones if you’d like.

Will be there tomorrow for a frigid mini morning sesh. I'll be the guy ripping it up, albeit in tears because 1) I'll be alone as @Mr Wonton has to "work" 🤨  and 2) I have two more weeks till I'm back out west.

Seems like it would be a nice day for Tanya. I’ll be crying at “work” which is way worser than crying at creek.

@jtslalom, I love your enthusiasm and optimism. 👍 Somewhere in a northern NJ mall @Mr Wonton will be weeping tears of joy into his Orange Julius on said opening day...

I’m currently working with my sherpa on oxygen deprivation training to deal with the extreme elevation difference from the mall to the summit of creek. So far it’s going well and we anticipate an arduous but successful summit bid on the aforementioned day and until that day @kneel, keep your ear to the grindstone.

Of course it was Kneel, I would expect nothing less from someone who is so Jersey to the core, its only natural that he would snowboard at a mall, was he wearing his members only as he stepped out of his Iroc?

He has been in rehab with his recent purchase of a house out here in the promised land...

    Mario

We watched Saved by the bell before we went and hit up Spencer’s after. He was decked out in Benetton. Sadly, we couldn’t find the Swatch store.

can't believe you went there on an alpine setup !    I was there last year on a stiff softboot setup and it was hard to generate speed to get a few good carves in.

I'm sure most people there have no clue about carving setup.

It’s definitely hard to get speed but for New Jersey in the summer it’s pretty good. From my work parking lot to theirs it takes me 4 minutes and I get there a half hour before they open. Perfect amount of time to gear up and get first tracks when conditions are as good as they’re gonna get. I’ve seen a few other hardbooters there and have been lucky enough to ride with the mystical unicorn @Kneel

I guess the #1 question I get most every day (riding Coiler Angrry 160 UPM Donek F Plate TD3 SW) is  "What Is THAT??

Maybe it's the head injury but I've run out of snappy answers...and patience!

My 1st thoughts are pretty snarky but I usually take a deep breath and just say "it's an Alpine snowboard like you see in the  Olympics" and keep moving to avoid further interrogation!

Anybody got some quick and or appropriate  one liners??

Sometimes I say “it’s a snowboard for old people”. One time a kid responded “that’s so cool”.

  10. Today while taking a break and eating some fries I saw a guy looking at my board and knew a question was on its way. He came over and asked “is this board light?” I responded “it’s lighter than some things but not as heavy as others. You’re welcome to pick it up if you’d like”. He did and then said “sick”. I guess that’s good. Last week I also got a “that’s the most aggressive stance I’ve ever seen”.

What am I doing with my life. 😐  Another Friday morn at Creek with the Wonton. First chair. They made snow, "Yay!" I guess. Wasn't the typical teeth-rattling ice morning so we proceeded the wreck the place. At times I wasn't sure if I was carving down to ice or bedrock. I felt kinda bad for all the old folks skiing through our trail of destruction, but it passed. 👍 A couple of systems to move through, one being a noreaster so hopefully they get a little help to extend this dismal season...

It’s nice to know that spending your morning with me makes you question what you’re doing with your life.

What my daughter and I ride.  She's on the X-Model (with bindings) this season exclusively, since she sold her SF to the dude with the tattoo @Mr Wonton.  I'm wanting a Super and XC back in my quiver.

You should totally reach out to the builder! The xc is wonderful!

Pretty obvious you need an 8RW, or maybe a tesi...

For real?  OMG!  Does Mark know about this?

Yes, Mark knows about this. At first he thought it was a photoshop/ April fools joke. I made a post in this forum a while ago about it and how it’s more than just a company logo but symbol to me about how much I love snowboarding. I rode softboot for 33 years and switching to hardboots and Thirst has rekindled that love. I also had a scar there and thought the snowdrop would be a perfect way to cover it.
