  1. The short story; If you are an experienced alpine rider and are interested in trying out a different kind of snowboard binding concept that is built for carving, please PM me so we can set a time to discuss. The slightly longer story; I love our sport so very much, but out of frustration, because of shin/leg pain from hardboots, I am attempting to zero-in on a different way to attach yourself to a board. At this point, I have a functional binding to be used with normal softboots on either an alpine board or a typical softboot board that you want to really carve on. (Think old-school 3 strap bindings from the 80s, but with a bit of modification.) This CNC machined aluminum and stainless steel version was created as a Proof of Concept. Meaning that it is not pretty, overbuilt for safety, and can be difficult to get strapped into. It is, however, fully adjustable and will fit most riders/boots/stances/boards (approx. 19 – 25 cm waist). At my age and since my carving skills are maybe a 6 out of 10, I am looking for someone who won’t ride it as gingerly as me, provide some feedback, make some fun turns, etc… If you are not proficient with hardboots, this thing is not for you. I am good with meeting at your mountain, depending on where that is. I live in Chicago so lots of flights….or I can drive to Midwest destinations….. Thank you all. Jason
  2. Being from the flatlands, these boots have been ridden an estimated 22 days. I could be off by a couple days one way or the other. IE; they are in great shape, very minor surface scuffs only really visible with the right light. All buckles etc..are in perfect working order. Original liners have been heated twice and are in 7.5 out of 10 shape. Size mondo 25 (US 7). PRICE REDUCED TO $200 plus ship. .

  6. Michelle, thanks for all of your help over the years. Jason.
  7. PRICE DROP......ask of $250.00 (or a swap)
  8. Dave, NOT OLYMPIC CONST then. Regarding stiffness, not really sure. Maybe someone else that has ridden a FCII that weighs a bit more could comment. See pic with specs. Jason.
  9. Dave, the board seems stiff to me, but i weigh only 137 lbs. I would say that a weight range would depend on how aggressively its ridden. Not really sure. Regarding Olym Const, I dont know.....how would I find that out? I dont mind shipping to Canada....although I dont really know what is involved. Jason.
  10. Thanks for the note but I dont think that I can go Burton....the 3D wont interchange with the rest of my gear.
  11. SOLD SOLD i have a Donek FCII that i would like to either sell (NEW ASK $225) or swap for a shorter board. preferably in the 160's size range. Donek info below. Donek FCII 167 (aka Freecarve II or 2 or fc2) navy blue top sheet width = 19.5 scr = 10.6M near perfect shape, ridden roughly 11-12 days. minor scrape on the topsheet near the nose (see pic). SELLING WITHOUT BINDINGS
  12. i am looking for tbolts to mount some new bindings on an old board. i hear there are some with ptex already on the bottom....i suppose that it wouldnt matter because i could probably just epoxy to smooth it out anyway. let me know if you have anything. thank you.
  13. thanks for the replies. the drill bit plan is of course the simplest/quickest/cheapest. i have yet to find someone that actually has knowledge of these specific plates converting. Slopestar......, regarding drilling; 1. of the three holes, two holes line up (well enough) so it requires the drilling of only the two additional holes. correct? 2. do you recall slightly countersinking the holes on top of the plates? likely not i would guess assuming that there is clearance between the top of the bolts and the bottom of the metal binding framing.
  14. where do i find info (or the discs) to convert these to a 4x4 compatible? anyone? Jason.
  15. ??? it has to do with my weight and my mediocre skill level. i would say that if you are an experienced rider that is always pushin it, it could be okay.....if not, its likely not the right board for you.
