  1. I was wondering if anyone has used this 3 buckle/Powerstrap boot. Feedback on it? http://www.deeluxe.com/products/detailed/track-425black-green/
  2. I also just received a full refund from PayPal. I’ve become an even bigger fan of PayPal after this because their process is very straight forward and takes less time then many credit cards from what I understand. I paid Bomber with both PayPal funds in my account as well as a Cap One credit card through PayPal. They took care of both the card refund as well as returning money into my account. I noticed that the bomberonline.com address to the store finally seems to have been disabled.
  3. Looking for a pair. Please PM if you have some to sell.
  4. OK, they are yours... I'd be fine with packing them up and shipping them off and then giving you an exact amount if that works for you? Should not be much... Possible I can even get them out today. Do you have a prefered ship method? THESE ARE SOLD....
  5. Pins and cables in very good shape... used little. A little wear on the replaceable pads but those have a lot of life left. Just have to use your own screws to attach to heal. Everything else including handles comes with... $65 plus ship...
  6. Hmmm... so I post a contrary opinion and am ascribed as having a temporary emotional disorder and need to "take it easy"? Gotcha! I don't consider myself as "pissed" at all. I responded to the post after I saw the article. Based on that and my personal experience with Jim Callen, I considered it an irresponsible post. Sounds like Jack does now too after he read the article. I just don't want to see someone else risk any money so I responded. Pure and simple.... Nothing personal on my part but I do understand your reaction and I will indeed "take it easy" now... Thanks for the advice
  7. " I still don't believe the Callens did anything out of malice, but rather self-preservation. Sounds like they made some poor choices along the way, but they're not out to hurt anyone. " Hmmm... easier sentiment to have when you're not the financially aggrieved party. You are welcome to cover my losses if Paypal does not... Just kidding! Seriously, it's only during times of adversity that we really need to pull our moral compasses out. The times when we fall head first into our Ethics-Morals-Integrity. I'm not trying to kick people while they're down and I too feel bad for them and the community. However, my personal experience with them is what it is and I felt that should be out there for balance. Ultimately, we are all responsible for our actions no matter what situation got us there. I know that I'm projecting here. In reality I'm probably more disappointed in myself then the Callen's. I knew better but exposed myself anyway. Ultimately, my responsibility.
  8. After having been so frustrated by poor customer service over the last year I had sworn off doing business with the Callen’s. However, in the last couple of weeks I bought a $1000 worth of gear trying support the business. All of a sudden I was actually getting emails back from Jim! I was hopeful that as he realized what was happening to his business he was really trying to be a responsible business owner. Plus, I thought they probably needed money to prepare for a possible legal defense for Angie Callen. Well, I was wrong. It ‘s clear that he was just playing me along and deceiving me. Repeatedly telling me that he was “shipping it out tomorrow”. That went on for a number of days right up to the day before filing. I hope that PayPal’s purchase protection works out otherwise I’m out. Even if PayPal does return the money it will probably be out of their pockets. Jim Callen already has my money in his. I know this runs counter to how most here feel about the Callen’s but they are not honest people in my experience. It goes beyond just incompetent at running a small business.
  9. Seems to me that the only logical synergistic home for this business is Sean Martin/Donek. If you want to organize a crowd funding event in the community I would suggest holding off and using that to help Sean complete a purchase of the business in the event he does not have access to adequate capital at the moment. That's assuming he's interested in taking something like that on. I personally could not think of a better candidate for it though. Actually, I can't even think of another 'good' candidate. By the way, I knew Bomber was in trouble last March when I made huge efforts to buy a pair of boots after breaking mine and it was just impossible to do. I was out in CO at the time and willing to pick them up. Being a retired business owner myself it was very easy to see the writing on the wall.
  10. I just bought a Kessler 171 and some other things from Jim and he has been really responsive and helpful. Ordering something from Bomber would be good way to show support. Whatever truth turns out to be it seems clear that it’s a difficult time.
  11. My foot measures 27.5 I've been using an AF600 for years in a size 26 with TF and it's a great fit. I find the AF700 a bit too stiff for my liking so not interested in that. I'm considering moving to SB series with the 325 which I know is a bit more narrow in forefoot. Question 1: Can I get away with a size 26 in SB series or do I need to go to 27 due to the narrower width? Question 2: If I got a 27 I'd only be downsizing 1/2 size. Will that be enough downsize or will boot be too long? Thanks Much for any opinions...
  12. Can you tell me what the size numbers are on the inside of upper and lower parts of the shell?
  13. Beckmann is right on... For last 15-20 years I've done my own Thermoflex/Palau liners with great success. Once, while traveling, I had to pay a well known shop do it for me and it was terrible. Not that I've actually met many hardbooters but they seem to be a pretty 'techie bunch' of people anyway. I'll second the above comment that it is not "rocket science". I use a combo of convection and heavy foil bags to make sure there are no burn spots. With the heavy foil bags (roasting bags) you don't even need a convection oven. Maybe just turn liner 180 degrees halfway through. That clothes dryer idea is kind of interesting.... will have to think about that...
  14. Sorry, no. I should have clarified better I guess. For example, I'm talking about plate bindings (Bomber in my case) where you might use a 6 deg toe lift on the front and a 3 deg heel lift on the rear. Fin mentioned it to me years ago.
  15. Curious about how many use this setup ( more front toe lift then rear heel lift) and what advantage they think it has. Thinking of trying it but wanted to get some feedback first.
  16. Just curious if anyone is using this plate and if so, what you think of it.
  17. For anyone who has moved from an AF Series boot (AF600 in my case) to a Track Series boot (probably 225 or 325) I would like some feedback as to how the fit of the two series compare. Could you go with the same size or did you have to go up or down in size? Was the width the same? Since I have to order one I'm just trying to get the sizing right the first time. Thanks Much...
