  1. Noah, I missed the second part of your question. There are two separate GS races, individual format not parallel courses.
  2. I have a couple qualified, but no one has the financial backing this year to make the trip. Brendan has lost interest due to wome home life issues and Phoebe isn't ready to be exposed to that type of competition. All the other kids are to into that free style crap to make to commitment to pure racing. I have repeatedly asked Rhett for your bindings advising I could UPS them for him but he has yet to bring them to the mountain. I would continue your email harrassments if you want those suckers back. Hope you're doing well Noah. Eric
  3. Hello to all New England Carvers. Mt Sunapee will be holding a dual GS event Saturday 28th. This is a USASA event and registration starts at 8 am. One GS in the morning one in the afternoon with course change in between. Will be held on Lower Flying Goose trail same as before and it should be a beautiful day to carve (not neg 20 like the one in Jan.). If already a member of USASA cost will be $30 per race and that includes the lift ticket. And there is a bib raffle at the end with lots of free stuff, even a snowboard. Remember that the older divisions do not have many participants, good way to qualify or get some gold and silver bling bling. On Sunday the 29th there will be Slalom events held at Bretton Woods. These two days are the LAST NH USASA EVENTS of the Season. Eric E. Mt Sunapee
  4. What kind advise is that for a yankeecarver. I don't need no stinkin' shop. Anyway I got a brand new pair of Suzuka I just like knowing I have good back up stuff, like building your quiver (6 for me). I'm looking for answers brother Noah, not ways to support the local SKI shop. Hope you're well. Big race Sat. 28th at Sunapee, GS and SLA, come on up for an overnight and test the waters of my hot tub, and the nicely brewed beverages at Appleseed. Sunapee also has the best corduroy in the state. Eric
  5. Alright I must be carving too hard. I seem to build up a good amount of snow in the ankle and toe buckles on my front foot. This snow then freezes to ice making it very dificult to get out of my left boot at the end of the day even though I love them it's hard to press in the clutch on the ride home. The ankle buckle seems to take he most stress as it is the one which breaks most frequently. I just broke my third one on my two year old AF600s. Granted they are old, but is anyone else having this problem? I already ride at 70 degrees in front. The front ankle buckle seems to drag in the snow when I'm laid out heelside. What can I do?Also due to frequent use of that buckle the rivet has lost its tight fit. Does anyone know the technical term and size for the machine screw and spikey bolt which will replace the rivet once I drill it out? I need a couple in my tool box and I can't figure the correct size. Thanks for any info. Eric E. Mt. Sunapee
  6. I have been searching for some specifications for individual starting gates. We currently use the 2X4 method and smash the suckers into the snow and then set the wand on another post. The 2X4s while being biodeagradable, they are not pretty and they have a bit of sway when the big guys launch themselves out. Does anyone know of a site where I might be able to get some specs on these. I'm not looking for boardercross 4 person gates, just something I can have the machine shop bend and weld for me. I 've got a pretty good idea on what I need, was just looking to compare my ideas to some hard rule like numbers or another construction idea. Thanks for any info.
  7. Matty- Glad you liked the event. The morning GS was a great course as long as you remembered the double blue gates. Snow was excellent but a bit slow due o the insane cold. As Noah stated, if you're the only one in your division, just stay on your board till the finish and keep taking home those gold medal bling blings. Check out the USASA site because there are three more GS / SLA events scheduled for February, Waterville 7th, Sunapee again 28th and Bretton Woods 29th. I thought the slalom was a bit tight towards the end, and how about those temps, thank God the sun was out. Eric
  8. Justin if you can get yourself to Sunapee some weekend you take a ride with our group no charge (except for your ticket) and see if you might be interested for next year. And yes the later you wait to sign up for USASA the more money you get to pay. Hope to see you maybe Saturday, again dress warm and the beer comment I think was addressed to me. We would never push anything on a minor other then getting your ass lower in the snow. Good Carving and be safe. Eric
  9. He dosen't want to go to Massawhat-state. Can't you see Justins from Derry. Who wants to drive south for snow. Another note: I was under the impression your TD1s were sent back awhile ago. Brendan is now riding an older pair on my TDs and riding my yellow ALP 5.7, and he looks just like a small version of me coming down the hill. You gotta come to Bradford, Jen and I got a Hot Tub, and I talked to your ski box in my barn and it really wants to go home (your home) PS-How many hardbooters do you have in your group? Eric
  10. There has been an alpine program for the past 5 years. We coach both freestyle/boardercross/slopestyle and Alpine Racing. We're not a big group but at least we get to speed, drag our asses in the snow and bash gates whenever we want. Mt Sunapee also has the best corduroy in the state but you've got to get there early to leave your trenches. May be a bit late to sign up this year, but get yourself locked into the USASA and get yourself to some events. If you're coming Saturday DRESS WARM it was -15 this morning without the wind chill factored in, and colder Saturday. Eric
  11. If you all come up here be sure to wear your GS suits its going to be a nice warm -20 to -30 with wind chill. Snow is excellent, pitch is fair, and if you're over 16 there are medals waiting for you to win (My racers are taking the rest). Noah sorry to hear about Mogley, he was a good dog. Eric Ensign Mt.
