  1. Jonny, whenever you are going to be going to wachusett during a weekday evening, let me know. I have a pass, and regularly go there during the week. Kevin.
  2. That is where I put it, backside of the liner, down deep so it reaches my ankle and helps fill the extra space. It has velcro stick-ons to keep it in place against the liner.
  3. My right foot is smaller then my left, and I was getting slight heel lift with the right foot. I had a set of 'Elminators' laying around, and I tried that, and it fixed the problem. I have no clue if it would help your situation or not. http://www.bootfitters.com/eliminator.htm
  4. I was lucky enough to get helped by bob last year during the 'Rally at the Thunder Dome'. It was my first year on a hardboot setup, and due to not knowing anyone on a hardboot setup, and few of them at my local mountain, I was not totally clear on how to achieve the results I wanted. I spent much time reading articles and reading the forum posts, but until I had someone to watch in person, and to watch me, and tell me what I was doing wrong, did I see dramatic improvement. I went from some shaky non-consistent carving in the morning to a solid confident carve the entire way down the hill by the afternoon. It was a true 'oh, so that's how you do it' experience. I learned more in that one day then I did all winter. I then used that knowledge to further refine the technique at my own mountain for the rest of the year, and continue to do so this year. We plan on getting together this Sunday for a refresher, and I can't wait to show him how I have progressed (or so I think :) ), and to get shown how to improve even more (because I know I need it!) I greatly appreciate the help that bob gave, and it is great to have people in the sport like this that are will to sacrifice their own carving time to help others. Thanks Bob!
  5. Just last night, I had stopped and waited for a 'window' to go, went down the hill, went heal side, went toe side, came back heal side, and found a skier straight-lining it, and got clipped by the rear of his ski pole. I followed him down the hill, and told him at the bottom that I don't appreciate being whacked by a ski poll as he passes. He immediately gives me that answer that he didn't pass me, that I "cut him off". I tried explaining that he overtook me, therefore he did pass me, and I don't have eyes on the back of my head, and not everyone goes 'straight' down the hill. He eventually gave me a 'whatever', and I gave up, I don't think he understood, I said I wasn't trying to mean or anything, just that he should pay more attention and give people more space. Later in the evening, I was standing on the edge of the trail, looking up, waiting for a 'window' and I watch this snowboarder straightlining down the edge of the trail for quite a distance, so he had plenty of time to see me. I realized he wasn't going to move much, but I just held my ground, he passed me by about 4 ft to my right..there is no excuse for that. There was 40ft of trail for him to move further away.
  6. On the lift last night from a young snowboarder. "Is that a single ski?"
  7. They came out of Raichle SB 324's.
  8. They are from a pair of raichle's I picked up that worked for me better. The liners were just a little snug for me, but the liners that were in the head's had been banged out for my foot, and fit me better in the raichle boot, so I swapped them.
  9. STILL available! Dropping price to $200..what a deal!
  10. <bump> These are still available.
  11. The orange tongue is more flex, and the black is less. I don't know if your looking for more or less flex. I don't have a lot of experience with these boots for comparison, as I only started hard booting last year. I do think my other boots have more flex then these though. I work right off 495, will you be down during the week or on the weekend? I also will be up somewhere in NH in 2 weekends, (I currently forget which town).
  12. For sale is a pair of Head Stratus Pro, size 27 Mondo (US 9). Only worn a few times, just didn't fit me right, ended up getting a different boot. Only a few small scuffs, from limited use. Includes orange and black tongues, and the extra set of soles they come with, and still in original box. I kept the liners for use in my other boots since they were punched out to fit my feet. I am including the liners that came with the other boot (just letting you know its not the same one that originally came with the boot, but they fit just fine). $250 + Shipping (we will work out shipping once I know your zipcode).
  13. I just wanted to say many thanks to Bobby Bugs, Shred, dingbat and ace for all their help today. I had a great time, and learned a TON from some good riders and great guys. I can't wait to apply this to my local hill. Thanks! Hope to see you guys again! Kevin.
  14. Yes! it did get sticky! I left early too. Shred, that run on the left is connifer, nice blue run, one of my favorite trails there. Unfortunately I didn't run into you last night, I did find snowrider, and I assume that must have been JGU with him. Thanks again for the help snowrider!
  15. Dingbat, can you add me to the list? I can't make sunday, only saturday. I am new to carving this year, maybe you guys can show me how its done! I will be on a green donek axis, and probably the worst carver there! Kevin Schleicher
