  1. No shops locally that know what Carving is, best bet is Starting Gate in VT if you want to buy new. The other option is a bit of a gamble and that is to figure out what size you need and them buy something sight unseen. The Eascoast Carving session is coming up over at Strat VT, you might be able to find gear there.
  2. I usually ride at Greek, the lifts are slow, but the seasons pass is reallly cheap. I am usually up there once mid week and again on the weekend. If you want to meet up there sometime let me know. There is another hardbooter that I meet up there once and while also. I plan on going this coming weekend, if the conditions improve. After all the rain today I am sure it will take few days at a minimum to fix the damage.
  3. Here are few suggestions from Bike Nashbar Camelbalk Classic $35 http://www.nashbar.com/bikes//Product_10053_10052_505701_-1___ Camelbak Charm $20 http://www.nashbar.com/bikes//Product_10053_10052_507808_-1___
  4. BOBDEA is right on with the "One Step", I have been using this approach for several years and my camel back has not funny tastes. Mine is used all year for boarding and biking. The key is to clean the system out right after you are finished. 1. Soak it with "One step" or an iodine solution (Brewers Supply) 2. Remove Mouth piece and dry separately 3. Put kitchen wisk in bladder to open and allow for air circulation 4. Hang till dry. I have a larger pack that I wear on the outside of my shell, on the cold days I drop a handwarmer inside. Sometimes it starts thicking but usually doesn't totally freeze. Just don't go too large or it is pain to sit on the lift chair, can't lean back with the larger baldders. These also add a little protection for your spine.
  5. Interested in the Board Email Sent
  6. I'm interested in the board if it is available
  7. Are there any other carvers out there in the Binghamton / Cortland area? My typical mountain is Greek Peek, if anyone is interested in carving the mountain I am usually game.
  8. Good Advice, Thanks again. I'll start with a 26 ski boot and see how it feels. Once I know my size I'll know what I need to find.
  9. Thanks for all the feedback. I think I'll try a ski boot on for size to make sure I get the right fit. I did some measuring and I have a MP 26.35. Bobby Buggs I'll let you know about the SB 324's, maybe they would work. Thanks,
  10. This is my first pair of hardboots so I'm not sure on size, would these fit a US 9 comfortably? Thanks,
