  1. I would recomend calling RJ at Exotic and asking him what he has laying around. I dont think that his web site is updated durring the summer. I purchased a 200 from him a couple of months ago and the entire transaction was good. FYI
  2. WTB Nidecker Carbon High Backs for my Catek FR-Pros. Dont need to be perfect.
  3. Yes, as of now the Burton is still available. Sale is pending on the Rossi. Would have been completed but I was slacking on my email.
  4. It looks like US Postal isnt close on Seattle to Canada for a small board, in the $30's and for the boots its just under $50 American. I will post the pictures I have of the other Burton bindings today.
  5. The gal at UPS said that they have their own customs entrance and that they get through faster. I think you only pay for new items if you list it on the package. Anyone know?
  6. I just checked on the frieght, it seems that all interested parties live north of the boarder in Canada. The cheapest way I can find is to ship with UPS ground, which takes 5-7 days and is right around $50 american. If anyone knows of a cheaper way to ship up north from Seattle, let me know.
  7. I have one other person that is looking at the Rossi. I will let you know if she does not buy it. (just sent her an email regarding the purchase.) Thanks
  8. So I have an old Burton PJ with Burton bindings (ratraps?) that I kinda remember from back in the day. I think I was still riding Terry Kidwell pro models when this was new. Anyhow, I have never ridden it (but it has been ridden). It looks to be in good shape, but it is ONLY for a goofy rider as it is Asymmetrical. It says 6.2, so I am going to guess that it is a 162cm, but you guys and gals on here will let me know if I am wrong. No damage of any kind visible on the base, with little nicks and marks on the top sheet. It is used, but I have had much worse wear and tear after one season of banging skiers in the lift lines and on the chairs. $100 OBO for both the board and bindings. Buyer pays freight I also have (same era) some Burton Mega Flex (MGX) boots size 10.5. Again, if you know the actual name of this model, please let me know. These look to be in really good condition, with very little wear on the sole, or on the heals or toes. $75 OBO, buyer pays freight. Burton Bindings (no pics) that have a bar running down the middle that allows you to adjust the size of the bindings for your boots, on the fly. Someone called them Performance Rentals (maybe? high school was good, so memory bad) in good shape, but again they are used. $75 OBO, buyer pays freight. and finally I have a Rossignol VAS 156 in very good condition. Base and edge is perfect, top sheet has some small life marks. This board has some Burton bindings that I know nuthin about. There is a lever on the side that locks you in and unlocks you. Looks kind of cool, but again I am 6'2" with size 14's so I have not ridden this one either. Board and bindings $150 OBO buyer pays freight.
  9. I dont see where it says the length. (probably at the top)
  10. I have a Lib Tech Skunk Ape 190 with the MTX in good shape. Great board for riding pow and the magne traction makes ice and hard pack seem softer as well.
  11. Want catek soft boot bindings, any condition or model. Will buy outright or can trade Stratus Pro's or TD3's or Burton Race Plates or ??? Thanks
  12. Try and turn your board with all your weight on your front foot, with your back foot only there for balance. Then try putting all your weight on your back foot and turning, with your front being there for balance. My experience with carving boards is that they like someone who rides aggressively, with their weight forward. This might negate the feeling you have of your back foot on a different line.
  13. I ride hard boots and plates when its stiff snow and then Burton C60s and CO2s when its soft. You can surf the net for the Burtons and find them in the $400 range new $100-140 range used. These two models have carbon fiber in them and are super stiff. Try boots with the BOA system and then over tighten them. That is what I am doing with some Vans I got, pretty stiff this way. Vans Boots $40 on C-List CO2s $75 on C-List I knew that even if I hated them, I could get my $$$ back out of them and resell them. Did the same with Flow bindings, and then sold them, I hate them. But my wife tried them for $50 and loves them so much she just got some new ladies NXTs, aluminum and stiff. With C-list, ebay and bomber, you can try stuff on the cheap and then see if you want to spend the big money for new. FYI
  14. I am using Head Stratus Pros. I have reset these bindings too tight, so that the boot is flexing, to loose so that the boot moves and then just right, where I believe it to be correct. I HAVE used plates before and never had a release issue. Its always when I am at the bottom of a turn, on big moguls or a super steep run, I unweight the board for the transfer of my body weight and the snapping of my shoulders, and then there is the strange sensation of freedom.....as in my rear foot is not longer in the binding. Its to the point that I dont trust them anymore. I have had to use my leash all Mcgiver-ish and attach the front bail to my boot, so that I can get to the bottom. My fear is that, my luck with walking away with only my ego bruised, is going to change and I am going to swist something and get hurt. I should add that I have a magic power for breaking ANYTHING I touch. Such as boards (Sims, K2 and Lib all have me on their most wanted lists), boots (Boa cables), bindings (straps, ratchets, highbacks) Its this power that is stopping me from buying stepins, as I dont trust 4 screws in my heal to hold me in durring a bomb drop to cat track, type of landing. Sorry I only ride Hood in the summer, Crystal durring the winter, no going to PDX very soon.
  15. The TD3s ride great and then without notice they release on me, usually on a steep, while banging out a hard turn. Its not that I dont like the stiffness, I am just used to a more damp ride. I am guessing that the Palmer risers, coupled with the gel pad in the bindings and the air pocket in my boots, give me some suspenion and eat up some of the vibrations durring riding. I reset the Burton plates on Palmers for tomorrow, we will see if it changes much. "You can also do the oil and powder or flour trick every couple of weeks to see if any micro cracks are forming.".......I know how to magneflux an engine part for cracks, what is this trick?
  16. I broke the front receiver on my TD3's and became dissapointed with their performance, so I found the stiffest soft boots that I could and rode the end of last season and the first part of this season on Burton CO2's and C-60's. This is a great setup on my Tanker 200, but I crave a toeside that is as dailed in and responsive as my heelside. So one day surfing C-list, I found some Burton Race Plates for $30. They are an older model (rental fleet?) that has a bar that connects the front and rear bails. When you turn the bar it spreads the bails farther apart or closer together. This is great of your trying different size boots, not much of an advantage of your going to lock and load for a day of high speed turns. Anyhow, I rode them last week on a LibTech Skunk Ape 190 with Head Stratus Pros. They were great! No Issues, never released and my only complaint is that they are NOT damp at all. I felt every cockroach I ran over. My question is this: At 250lbs, 6'2", size 14 and riding mostly off the groomed, big mountain style, how long till these things explode? Or am I already on borrowed time? Thanks
  17. Thanks for looking, 205 Sold.
  18. No one on Bomber has a set of F2's, OS2s or TDs in a step-in that they aren't using and want to trade? (Size Large for a 31.5 boot) I want a set that can handle abuse, but I am not looking for perfection. Dings and scratches dont scare me, thats nothing compared to what I going to do to them. Thanks
  19. Sorry for the delay in responding. If its going to be cash, then I hope $250 plus shipping is fair. Thanks for looking
  20. I looked at Doneks site linked below: http://donek.com/specs_hard.html and the board is listed as Alex Juhasz205 SP <TABLE border=1 cellSpacing=0 borderColor=#666666 cellPadding=0 width=550><TBODY><TR height=17><TD height=17 width=150>Alex Juhasz 205 SP</TD><TD class=style5 width=55 align=right>206</TD><TD class=style5 width=55 align=right>189</TD><TD class=style5 width=55 align=right>18.0</TD><TD class=style5 width=55 align=right>24.0</TD><TD class=style5 width=55 align=right>19.0</TD><TD class=style5 width=55 align=right>24.0</TD><TD class=style5 width=70 align=right>$780.00</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE> This name is also listed on the top sheet. All that I know about it is listed there. It is stiffer than my Lib and about as stiff as my Glissade was before I put 60 days on it. I have 2 days on it and I believe I bought it from Alex Juhasz himself, here on Bomber.
  21. I will try to get better pics if needed. Fam is in Disneyland and only camera in house is Blackberry. One shot is of nick on base, that is the only damage on base, sidewall or edge.
  22. Yeah that was me! Man your some kinda detective. Fixed the Boa that night and then broke the bindings the next day. K2 is replacing them, but its the same cable in the BOA that's in the K2 autos and in Fintecs, so I now see how people break'em. (not that hard) I am wavering between getting the stiffest soft boots and strap bindings I can find OR getting the parts to fix my broken TD3s and staying with the Head Stratus Pro's that I like. I dont race or ride groomers unless I have too, but I do ride faster that your suposed too and I wondered if cutting the wings out of the Head boots and using a BTS would make them too soft. You were flying around, how do those hard shells work on moguls or on the face when your off the groomers? Do you have a BTS setup on the boots you were riding? I dont remember seeing it if you did. After trying on soft boots today I am thinking that I will give the TD3 a chance and hope the issues I had are resolved with stepins. Thanks Bro......think snow!
  23. How different were your boots with the BTS installed?
