  1. Alex, I just checked my junk folder and found your email there. Thanks so much for responding and I wish I checked my email before. Anyway, it worked out. The part that broke was the black plastic inside, which the cable is attached to and which pulls the metal pins in when engaged. Bomber will warranty it and they're sending me new ones.
  2. Guys, thanks so much for your help. Alex, I never got your email. Not sure why. But anyway, I was able to get around it by sticking two screwdrivers in there every time I needed to release it. It worked fine for two days. Monday I ended up renting skis and skied for the first time in 17 years. It was awesome :)
  3. Hey guys, I'm on a 4 day trip in Vermont (Bromley, Killington, Okemo) and the inner arm in my fin tec heel broke after three runs. Anybody in the area who has replacements? Or does anyone know a store that might stock the heels? I called bomber store and they didn't think anybody out here would, but I'm trying anyway. Any help is much appreciated.
  4. I'll be at MC tomorrow(Tuesday) pretty much all day. Anyone else?
  5. I'll make sure to hunt you down next time, teach :)
  6. I also had a late start since I was there with three of my friends. I saw one guy on hard boots, but always from a lift or too far away. Red helmet and orange boots - board looked red as well. Anyway, buddy of mine (soft boots) and I spent most of the day on the Lower Cleopatra and Pocono Raceway. Never made it to the right side since the lift there was just way too crowded. But we had a great time. I would've spent more time looking for you guys, but it was hard with three of my friends in tow. Conditions were really not that bad so I'm hoping it's not the end of the season yet. I feel a sick day coming up soon...might end up at Mt. Creek though since it's much closer for me.
  7. I plan on being at CB this Sunday. We're trying to get there early to beat the crowds, but it's a bit of hike for us so we'll see. Should be a nice day!
  8. Mark, it was good to see you up there today even though it was so quick. I lost you then and since you said it was your last run I figured you left. I'm still thinking about the ECES. It would be nice, but next weekend is tight. It sucks I missed most of the guys there yesterday. I was there all morning, just couldn't find anyone. Hopefully next time.
  9. Welcome, Ralph! I'll definitely be there Sunday morning and possibly Monday morning.
  10. Evenings are practically impossible for me since I also work in the city. I was planning on taking a day or two off though at some point. If we decide on a date then it might work. I'd just spend the whole day there. Again, I'll be gone the next two weeks so only the second half of Feb would work for me. The idea of trying out different boards sounds very intriguing!
  11. Hey Mark, this is Voyta. It was nice to meet you on Sunday and I'm glad we did at least one run together. I hope to be able to join you and your friends sometime soon. I will be in Sweden the next two weeks, but when I get back hopefully we can get out there again. Maybe we'll even have some snow then :)
  12. Any of you guys heard any news from Catek? I know they have been having some issues, but in July they posted here saying that it had been resolved and that they would start operating again. It's October now and I still don't have my binding that I ordered AND PAID for 6 months ago! Plus, there's still no answer to emails or phone calls. Winter is almost here and I can't use my brand new setup.
  13. So glad that you guys are up again! I ordered OS2 about three months ago and nobody would return my emails and phone calls. I was about to go through the credit card company. Hopefully I will get my OS2 soon...even though it's summer now :)
  14. So I got my first metal board a few weeks ago and noticed some interesting things. First were two extra insert holes in the middle of the board (one on the left and one on the right). What are these for? Second I noticed that there is barely any camber on this brand new metal board. Is this because of the fact that it's metal? My older Head AX (Elan) board has so much more camber! It kinda surprised me. Can anyone explain please? Thanks!
  15. The bindings are sold, but the board is still available. Price is $100 plus shipping for the board. Let me know if you have any questions.
  16. email sent regarding the board. @ Heroshmero: I sent you a pm. Are you still interested in the bindings? Now that I also have a buyer for the board I can sell you the bindings. Let me know.
  17. Boots are SOLD! Board and binding still waiting till next week otherwise binding goes on Monday!
  18. you know, I'd rather not. Would you mind waiting a few days? If I don't get any offers on the set by Monday then it's yours. Deal?
  19. yeah, I actually bought it in Europe. It's a very nice board. Loved every minute on it, but it was time to upgrade to a metal one. sent email regarding the boots.
  20. Hi, Since I just got my new setup I'm selling my old stuff. The board is a HEAD AX 171 with plenty camber left. It comes with Raichle X-Bone Step-in bindings. The boots are Raichle 225 size 28.5 with In-tec heels. The board with the bindings is $150 + shipping and the boots are $50 + shipping. I'll ship anywhere since you're paying for it. It's still in nice shape. Let me know if you have any questions. If you want better quality pics email me. UPDATE: Boots and bindings are sold. Board is still available for $100 plus shipping.
  21. thanks for your input guys. just bought a complete new set: Donek FC Metal 185, Catek OS2 Step-in and Deeluxe 325 with the red race thermo flex liners. Should be fun!
  22. Yeah, the Donek is metal (2 layers of titanium + some carbon fiber) and from what I found on the net the Volkl also has a layer of titanium, but I couldn't find much more detail about it. Good point with supporting the US economy :) I like that! They are currently both on sale, but the price difference is still $300. I was just wondering if I can justify it.
  23. Hi guys, I'm fairly new here, but I have been riding for over 10 years. I've had the same pair of boots for the last 10 years (Raichle 224) and I'm on my second board (Head AX 171 - 7 years old). I realized it's time for an upgrade. I pretty much found the right boot - Deelux 700t, but I can't quite decide on the board. I thought the Donek Metal FC (185) and the Volkl Renn Tiger (183) both might be the right choice for me. I've read a lot of great stuff about the Donek, but there are not a lot of reviews about the Volkl. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with it or what are your thoughts in general. The price difference is $300 in favor of the Volkl, which is a lot of money. Is the difference really that noticeable? I don't race, just a recreational carver who loves the speed. Any help/advice is highly appreciated. Thanks!
