Looks more practical than my Elise.

Would a size 24.5 Salomon boot best be mated with a size small or medium Salomon binding?

Fin,
What's the max size of the work piece this mill can handle?
-
I don't know if they still have an alpine/hardboot program, but I'm pretty sure they at least have a freestyle one.

Go CVA! :D :D

Snowboard: No idea, but it sure did feel fast :)
Bike: Slow because I'm so out of shape. I doubt I've ever broken 30 since I don't have a road bike
Golf cart: I don't know how fast I was going, but the cop who pulled me over thought it was too fast.
Car: Somewhere over 170. The speedo on the B5 S4s stops at 170 and the car doesn't gear out until 185mph. The revs were at about 6800 in 6th, redline is 7100. Needless to say, the car wasn't exactly stock.

Hit the nail on the head with that one. That's exactly why there are posts questioning the accuracy of it.

Jack, think about it this way: If you hadn't been stupid, you wouldn't have ended up with a very interesting story to tell. The lesson here is that if you're smart, you're boring, and no one wants to be boring. :)
As for my own stories.....well, there was that time in VT when I was going somewhere north of 140 and was called in......then that time I was pulled over for speeding in a golf cart....there's also the most recent citation which ended up with the officer losing his job.....
Where do I begin? :D

AND, the ticket would most assuredly be WAY over $215. More like $500 to $1000. Plus bail and court fines.
That's not true.
Don't ask.

NOS is not the easy fix to top speed that everyone thinks it is
The salt flats are much much slower than pavement. Until 2000, the record for a "stock bodied" 1.5L car there was only 142mph. That class allows for unlimited engine mods as long as the body of the car is stock-looking. A completely stock 150HP Audi A4 with the limiter removed will do 142mph (yes, I know it's a slightly bigger engine, but it's also stock).

I'm sure you already thought about this, but you're probably going to want some way to keep the spring on there :)
Oh, and a way to adjust pre-load and the engagement point would be essential.

I know Sugarloaf has a couple of instructors who ride and teach on alpine gear.
In fact, I hear they may even be adding one more of them this season ;)
-
My oldest piece of equipment that I still ride is a 2001 Burton FP64, but that is going to be retired before the end of the season.

It's good to see Seth is back to racing again after his crash at the USASA races. I wonder if his doctor knows about this?

Sean,
It seems that you're using a simple plate model and not a laminate model. is this correct? An important distinction between the two is that the laminate model takes in to account the warp's ability to stabilize the weft, and vice-versa.

My dream custom would have a holographic projector on it which would project an image of someone trying to carve but doing it really really really badly - that way, when people see me riding nearby, I'll actually look competent (ha!).
The women will be all up onz.

showoff ;) :D :D

Jack - I demo'd the same board at ECES and loved it. It's a really fantastic board. I just need to figure out where I'll be riding this season before I can justify a board that big.
Oh, btw, can you point me to places to look for housing on/around Sugarloaf? Right now it looks like I'm going to be teaching there this season, so I'll need somewhere to live - I just don't know where I should look for it.

Their knees look very quiet - I'd almost even say stiff. It looks like they're riding with casts on.
-
Work on your upper body - if you get the hole shot then you're just about home free. Definitely practice your starts once there is snow.

IIRC, that law was actually stricken from the books shortly after the first 600mhz G4s shipped. The law was old, obsolete, uncompetitive, and easily circumvented.
Bye Bye MINI hello Element?

Haven't hit 1k yet, but I can assure you that the 2nd cam is awesome :-)
Getting in isn't so bad, getting out is. The 3ft deep door sills don't make it easy. I think a detachable steering wheel may be the first mod.
Come to Worcester and find out ;)
