Thanks Philfell its great to hear about the racing, please make it a regular thing. Does being the world champ daunt other riders? Sounds like it, Benjamin Karl got through to the final 16 by the skin of his teeth then proceeds to take the full 1000 points.

Nice boards Pokkis. Have you used that Vist plate yet? If you have, what's your verdict? I still don't know whether to get one for my new sg.
-
Who is good? I know i am by the smile on my face every day i spend in the mountains, which is to unregular.Terje Haakonsen, he would be a good bet cause he actually raced in the early days. In all seriousnes who cares! I understand, as should all of you hardbooters, we love a minority sport, and i am bored of explaining (" no i am actually snowboarding"). If you love it rejoice, what better feeling than leaving that thin line in snow and looking back, thinking "that's my line and I made it(SMILE). F em all I rock and i am the best snowboarder, catch me if you can, and if you can its a beer drinking competition. If you drink me under the table, its a knitting competition and if you kick my arse with knit one pearl one i am forever in your service. In all seriousness you all are the best. Love the snow!

Bobdea say's quite correctly
They are Northwave 950's if you have some you will have world cup racer's knocking on your door!look like northwaves to me -
Hey Divebomber, you are thinking of the Burton Megaflex which are even older about 92-93 i think.

Just after some opinions really. I can get hold of some old Burton Wind's brand new in the box, cheap and wonder if its worth it? I am currently using Upz's. Before anyone harps up about buying new gear and keeping present day manufacture's in business, i do, just bought a new SG. Fishing through some old post's there seem's to be a few that like them and wonder how they compare to newer models ie head deeluxe etc. I still have a pair of Northwave Nexus in the garage which I am also going to use this season. Any opinions appreciated.
PS WHEN IS WINTER COMING????!!!!

Its 20 1/2" with 50 at front and 44 back

The board is not hooky or twitchy. I have found it easy to ride but when you commit yourself it loves to carve and carve hard. I can definitely vouch for its slalom attributes as I have just won the slalom at the World Firefighter Games.

Thanks tex1230 i am going for an eye test. http://www.vist.it/

The inserts on JK Moscraciun's board are for hangl's and the inserts on mine are for visit plates.
-
The first board i rode with a stubby nose was a PJ7
-
Hey JK Santa must have flown over the UK to, cause he gave me one of those 163's aswell but with Visit inserts instead of Hangl.

not really its just a slalom board not small board with big sidecut as I understand stubby's to be. More like Kessler killer, just ask Benjamin Karl. I rode mine yesterday for the first time at an indoor snowslope and it rocks. If people are after a Kessler but are having a problem contacting them as a few posts suggest, give SG an email or call as i did, they could not be more helpfull and Sigi himself answered my technical questions. I can,t compare my Sg with Kessler kst but it rides it rides better than my kessler 162 without kst.Stubby ? knockoff ? -

you could try http://player.eurosport.co.uk/ they also have great moto gp coverage including all the warm ups and practice sessions, and 125 and 250 races. GO the mighty Cav.who's broadcasting the race ? -
Mine starts early, August infact. Win the slalom at the World Firefighter Games in Liverpool (indoor slope). Replace my c 60 bindings as i snapped one of the high backs, probably with Nideckers as you guys rate them. Buy a new board really like the look of the new SG's. Top of my wish list would be to make it out to ses but my wallet and woman would both kick my ass, so i will go to ecs instead and hopefully make ses in 2010.

Found it! I was wrong about Kessler making the skis but Atomic must know a good thing when they see it(if this information is correct).
-
Damn, I wish i could remember where I got this info. From what i can remember it was not off the shelf race skis but skis for their top world cup racers. I guess it would make sense, lovely custom skis but with atomic decals.
-
I cannot remember where i read or heard about it but i heard a rumor that Kessler were making Atomics race skis. Its probably bs but for some reason its stuck in my brain.
-
It was a long time ago when i rode it but from what i remember it was super fast and a bit of a handfull. Next time i go boarding i will take it out and let you know what its like. I really like the Liquid 169 and used to have the 149 and 159 too, those were the boards that weened me from my assymetrical tendancies. The Millenium 3's and MLY came from a friend who imported snowboard gear into the UK.
-
Here is my family, hopefully some of them will move out soon as we are expecting twins in early December. Have not had the scan yet so i don't know what they will be.
-
What colour are the bindings cause my unicorn leather with kryptonite buckled hard boots might not match! :) No more as i don't want to hog a serious thread.:)
-
Cool does it have kst and titanal sidewalls?
-
Not ridden either but i hear a lot of talk about burton factory primes on the forum, have you checked them out!!!!!!

Saw this on german ebay item no. 250214735559 (can't get the link to work). I don't know what shipping cost are like but the german and austrian ebay sites are excellent for old alpine gear. Actually they are good for new gear to. Hope you get sorted.

I want a long board and can't decide what to go for. Should I get a second hand Kessler 185 with kst going cheap or save my pennies and go for a brand new Prior 187? I have read Bordy's review at hardbooter so I think I know which is the correct decision but any other views would be welcome.
