I have a closet full of shorter boards all in excellent shape from when my wife was first learning to carve.
Sims Freecarve 148
Oxygen APX 148
An older Ride 154 ( I think!)
plus another one or two that I've forgotten about.
My wife started on a soft set-up but wanted better control after one day in a soft set-up so hard boots were the answer. As for your situation, I have one word of advise - patience!!!!.

I have a 168 - the yellow one. Base is in fair shape aside from having lost it's rear aluminum plate. Edges are in great shape and camber is still intact

The shell size is 289. It was my undestanding that the same shell is used for various sizes with the liner assisting in the fit. If I'm incorrect, please let me know and I will correct the posting

I've been out of town - sorry to those who tried to contact me. The boots are available and I'd consider offers. Also, I have a relatively new pair of thermo liners - size 28 that I used in the boots if that changes anyone's offer interest in a combo.
