Hi loopback, would a 170 rockered boarder cross board (fanatic) be eying to you? I have a 181 Tanker and the board I'm talking about kind of rides the same ( with shorter radius) on less than optimal conditions + decent float in pow + a great groomer carver. PM if interested.

Sorry, I missed replying to this one. that might have worked depending on the age..

What?! Man you drive a hard bargain. How about a Crazy Banana Voodoo 165 Ken Achenbach pro model (26.5 waist!), inserted by The Legendary "Cruise or Bruise" Wayne for ancient Sims bindings that were thrown away 30+ years ago? Or maybe I can find something older?

DAMN. I missed this one too, wish you had the bindings 😂

  2. 2007/2008 Tanker 200cm - TRADE?
    Maori graphics
    Excellent used condition.
    EASY 8.5/10
Ridden maybe 8 runs over 3 days over 10+ years.
You can barely see where the bindings were mounted. A couple tiny nicks in top sheet that would buff out.
Never ground/sharpened. A couple surface rust spots on edges were wax has fallen off
Base is storage waxed and has no damage.

I got a smokin deal on this at the time and would like to TRADE it not sell it.

This is what I have quiver wise:
    Quiver pic

I am looking for a wide soft boot carver primarily
    or
anything not in the quiver. I might be willing to lay some cash out with the Tanker.

I would entertain TD2 bindings but would prefer a board for board trade.

I don't mind shipping to US

    I like turtles.

Jesus, why does everyone on here get so bent out of shape over technique and EC vs Whatever vs This is how you should ride, blah blah. Shut your beautiful mouths, get off the keyboard and go ride, be happy. 🙂

this is usually the problem come this time of year....go ride is not an option for more of us each week

the technique arguments are always tiresome, they all take incredible dedication to master and look impressive when done by an expert under ideal conditions/equipment

Pretty sure the Bomber screws were custom made. 4mm hex is the standard for oval head M6s.

I hated and destroyed a ton of Catek 4mm head scews

How about a group buy for custom made??

We figure out the min qty.. start a fund and pull the trigger when we hit it.

I have no idea where to do this but will check some locals machine shops.

I am not a machinist so this could be ridiculous but could the 4mm hex be machined out to a 5mm?

We could group by a bunch and get them all machined....

They're custom made.  Pricing isn't awful when you buy enough, but the factory's idea of 'enough' is a scary number for us regular folks.

Do you have a ball park estimate of the unit cost and min qty?

  5. super stoked for this! I have not ridden with another hardbooter in over 3 years; even longer for night riding.

We'll be riding by 4pm, possibly earlier.

    "possibly earlier" sounds great!

I am bringing the TD cants to swap with you and the 163cm Coiler Sport Schtubby X1 G2 for @philpjo to try. I am going to bring the K168 and Metalburner to ride myself.

That's your front porch Paul?  Sweet.  I didn't get out today, stuck at the desk after having to drive the kids to school on account buses were cancelled...  Hoping to get out tomorrow.

Calabogie desperately need the snow from what I hear - especially since their pump house burnt down...

    That's my porch 🙂

Grab and go. I have it down to a science so I can ride an hour over lunch.

4 minutes to get dressed at home

    8 minutes to drive hill

6 minutes to get boots on and walk to lift

    60 min ride = 6 runs maybe 7

4 minutes to get boots off and back to car

    8 min drive home

    1.5 hours all in.

I took yesterday off and rode the Tanker ,Monster and Prior 4WD in the fresh snow.

I dropped Kelly at the hill this morning and was watching them groom, looks so good!

enough that I took today off too and am going over around lunch or when it brightens up.

Conditions have been stellar at Calabogie tbh. We could use some new terrain but what is open has been the best January riding in years. They are doing a great job grooming and moving around what they have.

The new pump house is built and they are connecting the piping underground.

Rumour is they could be blowing by early next week.

I just checked the mountain report...All runs now open!!

Awesome riding boards. I got mine from THOR. I was riding with him when he demoed it.

"Crap, anybody could ride this board"

I couldn't believe how tight he squeezed some of the turns.

He left with it. Anybody that remembers THOR knows how much he knows

It was actually his post that sold it for me. I'm super stoked to try this new ride!!

Alpine Punk MetalBurner : Super damp freecarve shape with fantastic edge hold. It's the most versatile board I've been on. In fact, if I was reduced to one board... this would be it. I sold three boards out of my quiver after I picked this up. It can change personalities with every different snow condition. I've ridden mine in everything from knee deep pow to morning spring ice and it really has no weaknesses (besides the operator). It will turn very tight but my favorite thing to do is make big surfy GS turns on it. One interesting surprise was on firm snow... if you get in the back seat it will absolutely eject you like a rocket out of a turn. I wasn't expecting the tail to be that lively. I ride at about 200lbs right now but anyone could hop on this thing and have a blast. It's a curious combination of versatility, high performance, and forgiveness.

Way to go Frank and Mats... this board is amazing! :biggthump

    I never used them,
They are still in very good condition, with like new liners (moldable).
The heel and toe pieces look un-walked on (I may have switched them to new ones over the last 4 years at some point)

Asking $80 USD + actual shipping cost to Canada or USA.
