  1. Guess I'll join the list. Broke my clavicle into 4 pieces dodging straightliners a couple weeks after MCC. 11 $500 screws and 2 $1000 plates and 4 weeks later I'm back out on snow the 1st time, on skis so I won't fall over, and a 12 yr old snowboarder takes me out from behind! I am so done with weekends.

I was given the choice of non surgical maybe 70-80% chance of full recovery over  months. Opted for surgery to get back to work sooner. Glad I did. Arm is usable now and I'm back riding in 1 month instead of several.

  2. I can see where even with f/intecs making it easier to release, because you're only reaching to the boot cuff, if there is a lot of pressure on the pins it may not be easy.

I like the simple durability of my 27 year old nitros, and if you ever come across a pair I'll buy'em from ya.

I tried intecs but the stretch/flex in the plastic actuation levers inside the heel left me stuck in the binding, I ask Fin to make those parts out of metal on the new fintecs but he said "not cost effective. too much cable actuated mechanism in too small of a space imo.

Pozi-pozi! Rob is starting to see the light 😁 In couple of years we'll have you on 45/30, you won't need those extra wide boards any more 😉

I settled  here in the middle 30 yrs ago. been 45* f since all boards were 0/45.

Duckfoot hurts my hip/knee and full alpine with no splay makes me feel like the shoes are tied together. surfs up and switch is is no problem.

don't listen to me though I think laces and straps suck to use.

  4. I rode the "L.L.Bean" Kildy flex back to back with the Madd bx. The Madd was lighter more nimble and carved better but to be fair the the flex plate on the Kildy gave the soft board under it some serius edge hold.

  5. Inaugural MCC was epic. If it wasn't that steep the grocer would've bogged down and gotten stuck!

I have had deeper days at Alpental and Schwietzer (in previous decades) that were snorkel worthy, had to keep you mouth closed and poke your face out the snow wave coming of your chest to breathe and to see the next turn. The whiteroom is not a myth.
